Okay, ladies. I love looking at all your fantastic layouts, so I thought I'd contribute my favorite page as of late. This is my first attempt at posting, so please be kind. I'm giving my sister a scrapbook of her son for his first Christmas. The red squares are sized to fit two wallet-sized photos that were taken of my nephew when he met Santa for the first time. Here goes nothing...
DH bought me a Wishblade a few weeks ago, and the Santa is a Wishblade file I downloaded from another website. It was my first attempt with my new toy.
I did 7 pages tonight, and this one is my favorite. We got my "baby", Maggie, last Jan. She was just a year this past Oct. I have a son, so it is very nice to be able to scrap book in PINK!!
ok, I apologize in advance for going off topic here, but I am shamelessly posting on threads I subscribe to to ask you to vote for my dress at this thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1297819. The winner gets 3 tag wishes from the Tag Fairy and I very much want to get my DNeice her tag back! She is 12 and deleted it by mistake about a month ago and is so sad. I'm in third place by about 10 votes and the polls close in 1 hour at 12:20 EST. Shameless I know but I my neice!
It was what they wrote our picture number on. A few years back they used to give you those really cool ones instead of just the white paper you get now. They gave out different ones at each ride, themed toward the ride. Im so disappointed they dont do it anymore.
Well, we haven't seen anything new here for a while, so I guess I should step up. I am still pretty new to the scrapbooking thing. I decided to start out by just scrapbooking our Disney trips. I figured when my kids get old enough to amuse themselves for more than 10 seconds, I might be able to do more!
Anyway.. enjoy:
The next few are 2-page layouts:
Sorry that Chef Mickey one is so blurry...
Looking forward to seeing more of everyone's stuff!
I love those Sooze. I get so many great ideas from seeing all these pages. It is defilnitely teaching me to save the little things. That OKW page is great with the map, parking ticket, room folder. Great ideas.
Reposting these her from the thread I had started so they could be with the others.
My Disney book from our April/May 2005 trip was the first that I did in the 12x12 size.
This is from the opening page
The Castle
MGM Studios opening page
Two page layout from the Tower of Terror
This one is the opening page for the section on our visit to the Titanic Experience. I wanted it to look like the image from the movie poster. I made the ship out of cardstock then drew on the railings. I'm not the best artist.
I really like this layout. It comes from my Chicago 2005 book. I used the brouchure we got from the Sears Tower for the one image. I think it turned out really neat.
Also from my Chicago scrapbook is this two page layout for Wicked, which we saw in January 2006. I downloaded the pictures of Glinda and Elphaba from Chicago's website then printed it on my computer, so its the actual people we saw.
This one is from my favorite books, all about my friends. I was inspired by a song from Wicked, "For Good" which talks about how our friends have made us who we are. I was inspired to make a book all about how my friends have changed me and made me who I am. I picked 10 characteristics for each of them. My sister got 20 pages though. This is one of my favorite pages from that book, though I don't have the journaling done on it. The quote used is one of my favorite quotes of all time.
Great pages Yzer bear! My nursing instructor played For Good on our last day of class this semester to let us know how she feels about all of us and how we have all touched her and each other over our journey together (we have one semester left together til graduation ) We were all sobbing by the end. I really want to see that musical! TFS!
