The CARES Device for Flying...Questions

We just got back from the world on 1/10, and we used the CARES device both ways. It was great! Although I have flown with my daughter before, this was the first time she had her own seat (she turned 2 on the trip).

It did slide around a little bit, but I think that was my fault-- after reading other peoples posts, I think that maybe I didn't tighten it as much as I should have. Even still, it was awesome! Having the harness definitely made her feel more secure, and I think it detered her from trying to crawl around. I'm definitely very happy that I bought it!

Does the strap for the actually airplane seat come with the CARES device? We are renting from the ebay lady. Is the non-slip mat not uncomfortable?

If you're thinking you'll use it more than once, go ahead and buy one. We bought two for our twins, used them for a few flights and then sold them on ebay for $50-60 each. Loved them.

Mom, I have the solution. They make duffle bags for carseats. They are fantastic for getting the seat around the airport hands free. FAN-TAS-TIC.

We used them on our twins, who were 22 months old at the time. I'm not sure what we did wrong, but our twins easily got out of them. One problem was that the shouldner part was just too wide no matter how we adjusted it. While my son did better, on the way home we just used the regular seatbelt for out daughter who, it turns out, is apparently descended from Houdini.
