Unless I go there at 4-4:30pm, getting a table here is crazy and there are always people waiting for your table as you eat which makes you feel bad. I've never tried Cantina late at night. The restaurant closes at 9 from what I can see but does it get bad around 8 before Illuminations (people looking for a place to view fireworks)? P.s. I am talking about the pavillion not the indoor restaurant

Yeah, I wouldn't plan on getting a table there for Illuminations. I don't think it is fair to hold onto a table for that long either. There are lots of places to see the show. IF it is the Cantina food that you want, then grab some to go and walk around till you find a place to sit. We like to either get a table at R&C on the patio, or get some fish and chips and sit in the peninsula seating in between UK and France.

People stake out those tables way in advance for Illuminations. Its not fair, but you are not likely to find a table to eat at around 8.

Thanks for letting me know. I wont bother to try to eat there at a late hour then. The problem with the Cantina is you really have to walk a long ways to find anywhere else to sit if you can't get a table. There are no trees with walls or benches for a long ways, and carrying a tray of full drinks and food through the crowds is not easy to do.
