The Story so far...

Day1 - the day after the night before
Day 2 - Dry times ahead...
Day 3 - Drink Story Mania
Day 4 - IF&WF
Day 5 - YEAH BABY IT'S 5'o'clock
Day 6 - OMG my head
Day 7 - Home we go

Day 8 - Wave if you want a drink

After some discussion we decide that we’ll go to the Wave at the Contemporary for dinner tonight.

As far as the day is concerned, we’ve never really explored SSR much so decide to have a walk around the resort and then walk over to DTD via Congress Park.

Setting off we walk through the main pool area and amble around the lake to DTD stopping to take a lot of pictures – most of the ones I take seem to be of Fulton’s upon review – weird!

After our failure to get into T-Rex last night we have another go for lunch, and as it is a lot quieter today are easily able to get a seat at the bar.

As we are at the Wave tonight we decide to just have a couple of appetizers, but, the nachos I order and Deb’s flatbread are huge!

All washed down with a couple of Sam Adams for me and some weird cocktail thing for Deb. A very pleasant meal really, the food is pretty good really. We bid farewell to T Rex and head out for a look around some shops at DTD, at which point we decide (well Deb suggests – woohoo) a stop off at the Sosa Cigar Bar. A Red Stripe for me accompanies by Sosa Wavell (a very pleasant smoke) and a glass of Chardonnay for Deb.

After some more wandering and browsing (not to mention a quick margarita at the House of Blues Bar)

we are back at the room relaxing (possibly with a cold one) before getting ready to head off to the Wave.

This is much busier than the lunch time we visited, but we are lucky as a couple are just leaving the bar as we arrive, so we assume the postion for the night.

A Corona to start off for me with Deb having a glass of wine, neither of which are terribly cold, but drinkable nonetheless.

The food is lovely, and despite the confusion with our starters (both similar soups, and we think the bartender has them the wrong way around) it is all very tasty. From memory, I have another beer or two (Yuengling this time) and Deb has a Martini, and then a Margarita. The Margarita is probably one of the best we tasted – really good. We conclude with a Manhattan for Deb and a Bourbon for me.

A quick cab ride later (despite the can driver going to the wrong resort!) and we are back at the room for a last beer of the day.

Oh my, Debbie! I haven't really been worried about the marathon martini and margarita drinking until I saw this photo. As Kirsty MacColl said it so well, "In these shoes?" I'm sure I couldn't have walked down the hotel hallway (sans drink) in those shoes. Can I get an AMEN for that, Matt?

It is true to say that you have issues with remaining upright Susan - drink or no drink:lmao:

Lovely photos & nice looking cocktails:thumbsup2

I love the cocktails they do at the resort bars although quite pricey. I see a cab tonight and not the disney bus.
