Hi, all! I got the information and am really interested! Just have a question: are there others signed up for the swap in January that I will be passing off to and picking up from? I didn't see an updated list. My trip is from January 8-15. We won't need the stroller until the 9th for the parks. Just curious if the schedule is filling out that far out yet, or if it would be better for me to wait and see if another stroller swap comes up that is closer to my dates?

I update the list on the first post as people join.
I am 99.999999% positive as time grows closer that we will fill the dates in, as right now there is no one signed up for Christmas time...and I'm pretty sure that might be a busy time!

A question for all swappers: Since I am not familiar with the Joovy, just wondering about how would you deal with sun/rain-coverage for the older child (who sits in the back)? Especially we're going to be there during the HOTTEST Orlando season. I read somewhere that there is a hippo canopy that would provide a very good protection for stroller use, would it help with our stroller?

I know this swap is for a double stroller, but the picture is of a single. Is the double side by side, or one in back of? I'm trying to read through all these threads, but I'm reading backwards. I did receive the pm's, I will be paypalling on Monday.

My daughter has the joovy stroller we are talking about. It is a sit and stand stroller. The front seat is a normal seat. The back seat is a small platform that the child can sit on (facing the parent). No back to that seat. Also that platform seat pushes out of the way so the child can stand on the stroller right in front of the parent and face forward. Additionally there are handles on the sides of the stroller that the child can hang onto if they wish to walk beside the stroller. The canopy is a large canopy that will cover both children. I won't say it covers the entire stroller completely but it does fold out to cover both kids from the sun and possible rain. It is a pretty compact stroller that folds well, has a limited amount of storage space under the stroller and pushes very easily. My daughter did a huge amount of research before she purchased this one and she actually purchased a different one and decided it was too cumbersome. The Joovy is great for a younger child or infant (it does accomodate an infant seat) and a little older child. I am taking 2 4 yr olds and I plan on having them trade off on the seating arrangement so they each have turns at sitting in the seat with a back or standing on the back of the stroller. It wouldn't work very well if you have 2 kids that are both young and need that seat back the whole time. Hope this clarifies some of the info! Have a great day!

Hey! Last week of January swapper here!! YAY!! How tall is the handle? My hubby is 6'1" and just wondering if he will have to bend down to push it? I told him to get over it either way its Disney for the love of PETE! But I thought I would be a loving DW and ask the ? Also, my "sitting one" will be 2 and my "standing one" will be 4 1/2. Sound about right? I'm making the 6 year old walk. Figure we will sleep better!

Nope, it doesn't matter where you are staying at. It will be started at the All Star Movies, but if doing a hand-off, you can make your own arrangemants. I think we have a few folks staying at Pop, so feel free to join in!
