The caboose swap closed

I'll be happy at Disney World even if I have to carry my kids for 8 days! :)
It is, after all, the happiest place on earth.

And, you are right ~ the stroller is getting TONS of use. Our strollers at home do too. I don't mean to complain, as I'd much rather have a cloth stroller than one of those hard plastic things!

I think is retrospect, orange might not have been the best color...either the camo or a navy color probably would hide stains a little better.
I don't think anyone is blaming anyone, but there are two mindsets..
1. I'll take really good care of it, its not mine. (i think most people feel this way)
2. Its not mone, so I don't need to be careful. I think rarely few, if any atually feel this way.
I'm just mad they didn't come out with a caboose 5 years ago! I totally would have bought one!

I pm'd you. From the report that Robinfabulous posted on my link it does not sound like the stroller is going to make it to the end of January. Iam hoping that it is not that bad but it does sound like it has been mistreated.

Guys I just wanted to tell you that I had this stroller last week. I only ended up using it for one night. You all **might** want to look into possibly replacing it. It's seen wear and tear... The seat looks awful, including the pad on the bench seat. My youngest is tiny but my oldest is closer to the weight limit and it was AWFUL trying to steer it though a Christmas party. The snap has come off of one side of the seat, too. So, at the very least, try to look into purchasing a freh seat. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I was EXTREMELY glad I brought a $10 umbrella stroller, because there's no way I could have used this one. It may be better for those of you with pretty small kids, but if you have one leaning on the end of the weight scale, this is not the stroller swap for you. OTOH I saw plenty of these in the parks, and all the newer ones looked fabulous. I just don't want anyone to be counting on using this and not have a back up plan, I was glad I did

I talked to Jenny who I sent it to. Her husband looked at it and said that structurally it's sound. It does need a new seat, mostly it's fade. I think also one of the wheels was locked and that was some of my problem. Jonah is on the big side of the weight limit and it wasn't as bad with just Allie. I just want everyone to know that it's NOT going to work for two BIG kids. The people that will be happier will be the ones with smaller kids. She's going to try to take pics and upload them for everyone to see. It's gotten a lot of use, I don't think it was misused, but it's just had a lot of kids in it for so many hours, then being opened and closed and drug onto buses and such. It's getting a lot more wear than a stroller for personal use would. I did notice that the canopy doesn't have as much fade, so a lot of it is the hot FL sun

Define big kids? What sizes will it probably not work for? I have a nearly 5 and a 3 year old- both weigh around 32- 35 pounds and are 40 inches tall ish. Do you think this would work for them or should I look for something else? I am mid-February. Thanks.

Allie is 25ish and it seemed okay with her in it, but Jonah is bigger, closer to I think 45 and I couldn't push it with them both in it

Okay....so I went to Toys r us tonight on my way to work and took the joovy sit and stand ultra light that they have on display and started pushing it around. There was a couple there with a 4.5 and 3.5 year old. I would say that both were between 30-40lbs. I asked the parents if the kids would sit and stand in the stroller for me to see if I could manage. I could. I used a little muscle power to initally start the stroller but once I got it going I had no problem turning in the aisles and manuvering the thing. I guess it must depend on how big the person that is going to be using the stroller is. I am 140lb 5'8" female and I was okay pushing 70+lbs around. So if you can push both your kids in a stroller now the joovy sit and stand should be fine.IMHO;)

OK...cannot figure out how to get the photos here. But I will try with this link.
If someone else can help me out with the uploading direct to the thread- I will be happy to- not sure if the link will work???
I was involved in two stroller swaps- the orange stroller is the one for this swap. My sister used the stroller and was pleased with it. She was able to manage two kids in it without a problem ( a 26 lb 2 yr old and a 40 lb 5 yr old)
The photos were taken when I got it out of the bag. I was going to wash the seat cover but the dryer in our room was not working properly and was afraid I could not get it dried in time to go back into the bag. I did wipe it down with a sponge which did seem to help a little so if someone has access to a washer/dryer it might help. The photos are without the sun canopy. The sun canopy did not seem to have much wear/tear.

Thanks for taking the time for a detailed picture!
It looks like alot of use.
(also looks like the little ones were having a good time!)

Hello,
Would it be possible to be a part of this swap? We are staying at ASMo Jan 3rd, and staying at the Poly Jan 4th-8th.

Thank you for your consideration!

Rick
