Just thought that I am almost done with my scheduling, now I heard that Spectro will not be available during the first couple days I planned to be at Magic Kingdom. Sad news! Since I only planned to be at MK for 2 days, I will have to switch my schedule around so that I can be at MK later on for the Spectro. Aggh, it's gonna be tough to book new ADRs these days.

So I guess my question is where will the stroller be living during those gaps?

OK, this is my first swap too, so forgive me too!
I am hoping that we can fill up the later dates, as there are a few big gaps.Once we have collected enough to purchase the stroller (as per DIS guidelines) any other participants would be free of charge. If we get into the end of October and still have some big holes, there are a few options I can think off of the top of my head...
1. check it with guest services, but I don't know if they will hold it for a few weeks. (doubtful, but I have read of folks that shipped things a few weeks ahead of time) This would be worst case scenario.
2. To have person A take it home, and ship it to person B's resort (I looked through UPS, this is about $30)

I'm still hopeful that we can get the holes filled, I know there are way more peole out there that are outraged with the daily cost of a double stroller rental!

Just a thought, but since the single stroller price is pretty high also, we might just mention that this stroller isn't a hugh monstrocity and it could easily be used for just 1 child. It would still be a big savings for people with just 1 child.

I checked the Walmart here and they did not have it in the store. They are also out of stock online so I think I'll order it from Amazon. They have free shipping and 1 day delivery.

Re: my previous questions about where the stroller can live during the bigger gaps, I guess we wait a bit and see if the gaps fill in a bit more...and if anyone goes down there sooner, can someone do a reconnaissance mission @ the hotel's Guest Services about some possible suggestions for our stroller? I thought of Owner's Locker, for example, but that would be waaaayyy more pricey than the stroller itself!

We live a 3 hour drive away, so I was just gonna drag it up there, but I could try and mail it ahead so that others could use it. Plus I would need it for my dates of Sept. 19-24.

That is what I was figuring...I think it'll be easier to "scope out" once we are on property! lol!

If you're not interest and still want to buy a brand new one for 150+ that's cool with me. But since I only paid 50 bucks for mine I figured 3 bucks per family might be more appealing.

It is a generous offer and it would probably work well for most people....but it would leave me high and dry since you are there at the same time I am. For obvious reasons, since I have been planning on participating in the swap, I would prefer to keep going as planned. OH! Why didn't I even think to check that? Duh...

Ok so I'm gonna make another post about this in this forum and link it back to the other one. If you have a back up list of people who need certain dates that are already filled send 'em my way. I like the cross promotion! I sent a PM to the one person who expressed interest but couldn't get her dates. I think soon enough the DIS will have to put a stroller swap sticky at the top!
