Once again we were up early today, when I say we I mean Tracey and I, Josh once again was immovable in the bed. So we got ourselves ready and at the the last minute dragged Josh out of bed got him cleaned and dressed and took him to breakfast. Breakfast today was at 7.30am and after the casual atmosphere at 7am, today was really busy with us queuing just get into the queue for breakfast. We had our breakfast which consisted of every item they had to offer. We heard the message half way through breakfast to say the park was open and we knew it was time to pack up and head to Disneyland park again.
It was lightly raining when we walked along by the river heading for the parks, Josh had his water proof jacket on but I was on holiday and I dont do rain on holiday. Anyway we had bought blue waterproof ponchos for the trip and it was going to have to rain a damn site heavier before I even thought about putting it on.
We arrived just after 8.30am, check below

We met up with Harry and Beth again and we headed straight to Fantasyland, once there we all rode Dumbo, The Carousel and the teacups. Had to include the below photo as probably one of the best photos of the trip.
This was before the ride even got going.

Josh and Tracey stayed at Fantasyland and Beth, Harry and me went over to do Buzz but it was closed but in consolation that had opened Star Tours early so we went there instead. I just cant remember walking so far before to get to Star Tours but it is hidden right at the back of the park. I am sure it is on rollers and they have moved it back. Good job I have ridden this before as the robot pilot we had only spoke French and he lost me after Bon jour.

Well we were late getting back after walking al the way back through Discoveryland and found Johss pushchair deserted outside the Dragons cave/dungeon. Josh by this time was really getting into the Dragon and we had to go in here every time we passed, in Joshs own words My very brave.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lazydayz/2664528053/" title="DSCF3957 by LazyDayz, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3108/2664528053_04c01d4724.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="DSCF3957" /></a>
It was raining a bit heavier, still not enough that I was going to don my blue plastic bag, as we were walking into the Studios. It is so convenient that a 10 minutes walk will take you from Main Street USA over to Studio 1.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lazydayz/2665351920/" title="DSCF2188 by LazyDayz, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3169/2665351920_78df9083a5.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="DSCF2188" /></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lazydayz/2665353414/" title="DSCF3965 by LazyDayz, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2063/2665353414_9505396ebd.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="DSCF3965" /></a>
The first thing we did when we got there was to stop for a hot chocolate at a place that I cant remember the name of. What I can tell you is that it was very good and the bit that Josh managed to spill on the table and my bag was very sticky.
It was still raining when we headed out to see how long the wait for Stitch would be. I being foolish walked over to the show building to look, while the others simply walked to the lovely, shiny, digital times board. As the wait was excessive we went into the Art of Animation and it was an interesting bit walk through but we were unable to hear the English commentary during the Mushu section of the presentation but have seen it before so wasnt really a problem.
Once we got out of there it all become a bit of a rain soaked blur, I am just trying to remember what we did in the rain. I am pretty sure that from there we went over to watch Martin Short in Cinemagique, we were pretty lucky as we actually had Martin Short there doing the Martin Short part well at least I think it was him, it was his voice. I really enjoyed watching this and the walking in and out of the screen was very clever. When we came out of here it was teaming down, so we ran over and got Joshs pushchair and broke out the ponchos. At this point I am pleased to announce that I will not be posting pictures of of my freaky blue poncho as I did not alow any to be taken.
At this point we were getting close to our Café Mickey lunch reservsations so we headed to the other end of Disney Village. Café Mickey was really quiet with just us a few other folks about. Goofy was stood just in the entrance as we got in and Josh was just standing on his chair looking around in total wonderment. He reacted to the characters very well as we were a little unsure how he was going to take it but he got quite into it. Its funny how kids know who the villains are, as soon as Prince John turned up he knew he was a badn, No see Prince John.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lazydayz/2664528875/" title="DSCF2194 by LazyDayz, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2291/2664528875_f272c3164a.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="DSCF2194" /></a>
We had quite an array of characters come round to see us, we had Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Prince John and Friar Tuck. We have pics with them all but below are some of the better ones.

The meal was ok, Josh had his mickey face pizza which he ate very little of as he was just too busy looking to see who was coming next. Beth and Harry had a particularly bad pizza that they shared and it was so burnt that in the end it was comped. Although overall the food was very average I think we will return or try the Lucky Nugget Saloon as the character interaction is very good, especially compared with the scrums you see in the parks. It is so strange to see the characters getting mobbed with people just pushing autograph books in their faces, there is no possibility of a photo op which to me is so much more important than an autograph.
The rain had lessened and so the blue plastic bags were stowed beneath the pushchair and we headed back to the Disneyland Park, I couldnt remember why but just checked our pics and it was so we could catch the parade. Once back in the park we walked over to Indiana Jones, for some reason we all split up and met there but for the life of me I cant remember why. We used the child switch again, Tracey, Beth and Harry went around first and then I went in the exit and straight to the front of the queue. This is a quick little roller coaster, I believe at some point in its history the cars also went backwards but both time I have been on it forwarded was the direction of travel. It has the tightest little loop of any coaster I have been on. Now I remember why we split up, we went for Fast Passes for Big Thunder Mountain and then as above.
Once again we split up for Big Thunder Mountain and I took a very sleepy little boy to wait at the exit, I forgot to mention that he had fallen asleep on our way back to Disneyland. So I waited and waited and waited, eventually my fellow travellers cam to join me just to tell me that Big Thunder Mountain had broken down after their ride, but as I was waiting so they gave us all Fast Passes to ride it again later in the day.
The time was approaching 4pm and we decided it was time to reserve ourselves a patch of pavement to sit and watch the parade. The majority of people were considerate of others and there wasnt a lot of pushing and shoving for position apart from the 3 women who try to push in next to us, 3 women in one tiny little space just does not go, eventually they got themselves settled and we really enjoyed the parade. Photos of this I have included below in the next message as I have too many to fit in here.
From there we headed over to do Alices Maze, this had been closed last time we were here and after being through it I kinda wished it had stayed closed. We walked and we walked and we walked and we walked and we eventually arrived at that castle thing in the middle and then as previous we walked hoping that just around the next corner was the way out, it wasnt but eventually it was. While we had been walking around there Beth had found a spot in the shade to eat crepes and Tracey decided to join her. I wandered around with Josh on my shoulders looking for somewhere for a little boy to empty his bladder (I am such a daredevil).
Once I returned Tracey and I decided that we wanted to head back to the Studios for the final showing that night of Animagique. So we took Josh and left Beth and Harry our Fast Passes as they were going to go and ride Big Thunder Mountain again. We all caught the train and we left them at Main Street Station and marched once again back to the Studios (its a good job they are so close).
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lazydayz/2664543803/" title="DSCF2237 by LazyDayz, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3162/2664543803_0c21f6c242.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="DSCF2237" /></a>
We had a bit of time so Josh stopped and looked around the Monsters Inc bit, pushing Mike and trying to escape from the CDA agents, pics below.

We joined a very small queue and went in to watch Animagique, its was all very good and very clever, you cant beat a show with The Duck in it. We went back outside where Josh shouted into those scream collector things and then it was time to leave the park.

We really didnt fancy another Mickey Ds tonight so instead we got a burger at Annettes, this burger was much better than last nights. Once again we chilled out on the hotel bed stuffing our faces but it was earlier tonight so figured we should explore the hotel a bit.
We didnt really go far, we went up to the shop and bought nothing and then followed the signs up to the kids playground. Josh had a good time playing on the few things that were there, reminded me of a playground in a rough council estate from when I was a child but with lesss concrete and broken glass, he loved it anyway. He even enjoyed running around those traditional Mexican ruins even the bit that looks like it was designed for pit fighting.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/lazydayz/2665371138/" title="DSCF4122 by LazyDayz, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3277/2665371138_d3c34b825f.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="DSCF4122" /></a>

Well with him run out and feeling tired we returned to our hotel room, once again Tracey and Josh were asleep first. I realised that I had pretty much nothing to drink all day my throat was killing and I was feeling dehydrated so raided our shrapnel and bought a few bottle of water from the vending machine and a cup full of ice to go with it. With all the water drank and my throat feeling a little easier I fell very quickly to sleep.
Well another day done I might even get this finished.
It was lightly raining when we walked along by the river heading for the parks, Josh had his water proof jacket on but I was on holiday and I dont do rain on holiday.
