I see Matilda on May 16th, and Pippin on May 10th! Very much looking forward to both!

I saw Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike last week. I enjoyed it, but I definitely didn't love it.

We have tickets for Vanya. I am looking forward to it.

I hope you enjoy it!

I'm actually very disappointed that I wasn't able to catch The Testament of Mary. :-(

That one sounded interesting.

If I could see everything I wanted to see, I'd be at the theater 2-3 times a week . . .

Me too; wouldn't that be an amazing thing? LOL

My best friend saw it and raved about Fiona Shaw (I have to admit, I'm a big Fiona Shaw fan).

Have you (or anyone else) seen Murder Ballad?

I also have tickets for Nikolai and the Others and Far From Heaven; both in June.

So disappointed. We have tickets for Jekyll & Hyde but won't get a chance to see it after all, the show just posted its closing notice and will close just days before we would have seen it.

We're in the same boat! Bought tix for our June/July trip and got notified yesterday that they're closing after Mother's Day.:confused3

Oh well, time to find another show to put in it's place.

We saw Spiderman. I didn't expect much going in, but was very surprised! We LOVED the show. It has great character development and story line. The ariel work is amazing. :thumbsup2

Just saw PIPPIN last night. It was absolutely incredible... it's not my favorite show, but after seeing it last night I do have to say that this production is without a doubt one of the best productions I have ever seen. I'm already planning a return visit.

If you get the chance *RUN* and see it! I don't know what ticket sales are generally like, but I do know that last night's performance was sold out; they do offer Standing Room Only (SRO).

Next week:Macbeth and Matilda!

I have a quick question. We plan on going to NYC next year over Christmas break. My boys well be 19 and 18. What would you recommend we go see. My oldest loves Phantom of the Opera. He has the movie. Me not so much. I couldn't even last 10 min into the movie.

I've never been to new york so I don't know what all is playing but I will say that the stage version is so much better than the movie.

Saw Matilda on Friday night; absolutely loved it! I also saw Milly Shapiro in the title role, and thought she was incredible. Actually, I was in awe of all of the children on that stage! That choreography looks hard enough as it is, and not a single one of those children missed a beat. Beyond impressive! My mind was blown by the alphabet sequence with the blocks and the gates. I was expecting a little more "magic", but really enjoyed the show overall. "When I Grow Up" is currently my favorite song and has been on repeat all weekend!

I also saw Pippin and Macbeth last week. Pippin was an amazing night at the theatre, and is my choice for winning Best Revival of a Musical at the TONYS next month.

Saw Sister Act on tour last night and loved it!! We took my grandma and her friend to the show and they enjoyed it also. If the tour is coming nearby go see it!!

I recently saw Annie, Lion King and Wicked on Broadway...all 3 I recommend. Annie is my all time favorite show. I sadly got sick during Lion King and had to leave before the end of the first act. Blah!

I can't remember for the life of me if I posted about my adventure in March to see Wicked on tour here in NC. I say the highlight there was getting to backstage and go on the stage. :-) I was at the final show of the three main cast members, my niece won the Wicked lotto on her first try and was the second one drawn. She absolutely loved it! :)

We have tickets for "Vanya Masha Sonia and Spike" and we also get a backstage tour after the show. So excited.

"Peter and the Starcatcher" was fantastic! DH, DS10 and DS 11 loved it. The kids asked when we can go see it again. :) Smart boys...

There's a new cast recording of Annie coming out on iTunes next week (the actual cd comes out next month) with Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks. He was so great! His "Something Was Missing" was beautiful.

Ordered my season tickets today for the broadway series here. I'm excited to see Phantom again as well as Once, American Idiot, We Will Rock You, White Christmas and Wicked.

Jane Lynch joined the cast of Annie during her summer hiatus from Glee. She will be there through July 16. :dance3:

Her three songs will be added bonus tracks to the original Broadway cast album available June 18.

Here she is singing one of the songs, "Little Girls" on Glee.

My daughters thought she was terrific as Miss Hannigan.
