Ok so we all know how important breakfast is, especially during weight loss. I have to admit I hate breakfast! I love breakfast foods but not at breakfast time. I have skipped breakfast for years and I know that has been a contributing factor to my weight gain.

So my goal is to eat! Breakfast that is. ;)

Are you in the same boat? Do you have ideas for breakfast taht you would like to share? Please post them here :)

Todays breakfast was a container of lowfat yogurt with 1 cup of frozen mixed berries topped with 1/4 cup of grape nuts. It was SO good!! I just have to remember to keep those things on hand.

So what did you have for breakfast today?

Thanks :)

I have prunes when I get up in the morning so that I can take my pills. When I get to work I have a banana, fiber one bar and my tea.

I have eaten cereal or eggs but this lasts for 3 1/2 to 4 hours when I get my first break.

Binny, I am not a breakfast lover eater (unless it is at dinner time). But in the last months I have been making it a point to eat a decent breakfast. My favorite is an Egg Beaters omlet with a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese and Hillshire Farms ham. I also use the WW shake and a piece of fruit. I also have discovered that I like the Special K cereal with the berries with 1% milk, however, I find the cereal doesn't stay with me as long as the other choices do.

I now do cereal, with yogurt or fruit when I get to school. I used to eat the South Beach diet cereal bars, but i've started to notice they give me headaches, so i'm toning down on them.

I do Raisin Bran. It keeps things moving along. ;) I wish I could do a healthier cereal, but I was raised on sugary cereals and without the sweet, it's too bland.

I do smoothies...I put in one container of my favorite brand of yogurt that has no added sweeteners except fruit juice, an equal amount of unsweetened soymilk, lots of frozen fruit, 2 T of ground flax seed, and about 1-2 T of natural peanut butter, depending on my activity level that morning. Sometimes I add 1 T flaxseed oil or olive oil (I know...it sounds gross, but it really just makes it more creamy and you don't really taste the oil) if I want to up the calories. Sometimes, when I need to have something sweet, I use chocolate soy milk and I had found this carob added to natural peanutbutter that made it seem like I was drinking a chocolate shake for breakfast. Yum.

I am normally not a big breakfast eater either, but I find that if I start breaking into breakfast with my smoothies that I can do other more solid food on different days to break up the routine.

If I have time, I have an egg white omelete, a cup of oatmeal, and either an apple or grapefruit. If I'm in a hurry, which I usually am, I have a protein shake instead of the omelette.
