How'd he do?

He passed!! :cheer2: :cheer2: He was awesome!! I was a little worried because he had to break 2 boards...back elbow strike and front kick....well, he flubbed the front kick, did the back elbow and went right back for the front kick...and did it! I had tears in my eyes I was so proud of him (he's my only child and only 7...so, it's been a looonnnggg 3.5 years in the making for this moment!) Belt ceremony is Thursday night, will post pic!

i havea wonderful husband that loves me more thatn he should (i'm a pain!!) and he is the greatest father and we had a fabulous evening out for our anniversary celebration so i'm still basking in the glow!

i also have 2 great children!!!

I'm going to Hawaii in 28 days for 2 weeks. It is a budget trip b/c we have 8 nights of our hotel free...2 weeks of free rental car...and with a small purchase of skymiles to have enough for the fourth ticket..our airfare was almost free.

Our budget for the 2 weeks is less than what it would cost to get us on a DCL cruise for a week (balcony or family suite). :)

Of course hubby was on a 1 year long field assignment and when you spend so many nights in hotels and rent a car for a year and fly a bit....well...all that free stuff and he was gone for a YEAR. WAHHHHH!!!!!

I got a 98% on my Spanish test!

And I have the best DH ever!

And I can almost still do the splits. I think if I actually applied myself and practiced a bit it would come right back. (though good luck explaining that to DH...) :teeth:

For my 1,001 post I will brag about my wonderful life:

I have the world's best boyfriend. He is supportive, loving, caring, and is sticking by me even though I just started a 2 year master's program at Penn State 260 miles away from him. He truely appreciates me. He makes me feel like I am the most beautiful, wonderful, smartest, nicest girl in the world.

and

I am not paying for my education here at Penn State due to a training grant I was invited to join. This included full tuition, a monthly stipend, and health insurance which covers mental health care that my parents insurance doesnt cover (and saves my family an addition $2,500 a year). I will be specially trained in my field (speech language pathology). As part of the training grant, I will have to work in the public school system for four years after graduation. This means that I have a JOB anywhere in the country after I get my masters degree.

Hmmm...I have a wonderful husband who loves me unconditionally. I've been happily married for almost 11 years. My hubby owns his own business and it is such a success.

I have two beautiful children. My son who just started football this year has caught on and is doing great! My son is 7 and still thinks I'm the greatest person on the face of the earth. My daughter who just turned 3 is so well spoken people think she's in kindergarten.

We went to Turks and Caicos in April, we're heading to Disney in 2 weeks and then the Bahamas on 11/25. (just hubby and I)

And I just had to deal with cervical cancer but thanks to the Lord, I was able to get through it and am now healthy!! :thumbsup2

Bubba's mom - WOW! That smile has me grinning. He looks so proud. I know he worked hard and you deserve credit for getting him to karate several times a week for 3.5 yrs.

My brag: Just returned from a Boy Scout Court of Honor. Both of my guys aspire to become Eagle Scouts. My oldest has earned his First Class - the first in his group. He has the necessary merit badges for his next rank advancement - just needs his time in a leadership position & his service hours. He was recommended by the Scoutmaster to be a Den Chief. He's lined up to start next week. This is a huge step for him.
My youngest has only been a Boy Scout since Spring. He is one requirement away from Tenderfoot. He will complete that requirement during next weekend's campout.
Each of my boys came home with 6 different Merit Badges earned at Summer Camp.

A little brag...

DH and I just got back from the World about 2 weeks ago... and it looks like we're going back for a weekend trip at the end of October! :teeth:

He is so proud of himself and his accomplishments....Dad is proud, and I, well, I am so stinkin' proud, I've been crying all night! (can't help it....just SO happy!) ....anyhows, DH gets him to karate more than I do (I work 6 days a week and only get to 2 classes or so...so, must give DH credit). However, DS says he wants to commit the next 2 years :faint: to earning his 2nd degree belt....here we go.....
