Just posting again because I somehow got unsubscribed from the thread. I meant to fix that when I posted before but forgot.

Glad it was a great day for you as well and hoping you're well into taper mode by now
. I can't root for your Phillies if they play the Yankees
since my kids and their father would take issue
. Hoping Cam's enjoying the new car today
.
.
. Great pics from WDW!
Hoping it's just the normal pre-race phantom stuff going on and that the forecast holds out for you
:Loved the pics Kathy posted on FB

. My TOP vote is Vegas in December but how does that work with WDW in January
Matt might be young enough to pull that out but the over 40 crowd
could be deterred. San Antonio is a want on my list and I agree that R&R always puts on a good show.
. It's been great living vicariously through you all and I really, really appreciate that at the moment

Matt - You and Cindy should consider LBI next year. The nice thing about this race is that its a perfect training run for a November marathon. My bus to the start was filled with NYC marathoners. I missed your race report yesterday and just read though it. Very interesting. You and I run very similar paces so you got me all worried about NYC. I actually had the same problem you described when I ran WDW in 2008 (2nd marathon). I drank WAY too much Powerade early in the race and it hit me real hard around mile 18. I had this "sloshy" feeling in my stomach the rest of the race. I drank little or no sports drinks when I train so I think I'll avoid them as much as possible at NYC. One nice thing about LBI is that they had Gatorade after Mile 12 but it was very watered down. I think that actually helped me on Sunday. That weather in Balt. didn't sound too good either. You got through it and I'm sure you'll be running with the 3:50 pace group again at the next race but you'll have more experience.Lou Congrats on the PR. LBI sounds like an interesting race, 18 miles is such an odd distance that I'm intrigued and sort of want to run it next year. A free buffet at the end is even better.
The packet pick up was really just that, no expo at all. The WISH meet at Boardwalk was nice and fairly well attended then it was off for a quick dinner at Morocco with Corinna, one of my Ohana teammates. I tried to get to sleep early but it wound up still being around 10:30pm.

. NO, I'm not complaining.

She is now feeling better and I'm back on track with training. Looking forward to the announcement of the new fall race...Did you all see the official announcement? October 2, 2010 a night-time half marathon. The idea of a new course sounds interesting (if true), and the Halloween Family 5k sounds interesting too.
I was hoping it'd be a Halloween themed 1/2 marathon. Food & Wine???? So that means we go to the night time after hours "party" all hot, dripping & sweaty (not to mention stinking) straight after the race. And how much will THAT be
$$? Sure, they charge us to get in there so they can charge us stoopid prices for those little morsels of food @ Food & Wine, when they know we're ravenously hungry. Holy Moly, NYC marathon in 17 days!!!!1
20 really ugly miles yesterday, but it's in the books.

Is that the same as the Hershey Squirts smilie?Seventeen days??? (insert "pooping in pants" smilie) WHAT?![]()

I was very proud of myself this morning. Not because I did my 3rd 20 miler in 4 weeks (although the run was pretty good), but because I went out at all. It was all rainy and cold and just plain yucky out. It would have been much easier to curl up on the couch with a blanket and take a nap.
Come to think of it, that sounds pretty good right now.
Did you all see that Deena Kastor had to make a Jodi-stop during the Chicago Marathon last weekend? Happens to the best of us, I guess.
. You're all set to BQ in Richmond. Just believe....man that sounds cheesy.
