~The BOT Battalion~ BOTS On The Run

Hey Bot Squad!

Colleen
I'm so glad that my concession duties ended with Miranda's soccer season this year. I've pulled a lot of concession duty during the last 12 years of Baseball, Cheerleading, Football, Soccer and Wrestling. I will surely miss it.not.:rotfl:

I got in 7 miles on Saturday and 14 on Sunday. Between runs I was helping my sister move into her new house. She bought a 12 year old 2 story house on 6.2 acres in a foreclosure auction. The house is in pretty good shape but the property had really been let go. At one time the back portion of the property had been used as a plant nursery and there is a lot of debris and equipment left over. There are still some really nice palm trees back there but there is also lot of weeds and junk.

Run happy.

Hey Guys!

CindyFluPoo - Sorry to hear you're feeling like turds again. Same cold like last time? Is Matt healthy?

Chester - Check you out, getting all those miles in. It's like you've got a goal or something!:rolleyes1 CMM is next for you? RU going to do Sarasota?

Louie - What's up? You, too with the big miles. I mean, really, anything double digit is huge in my book. Glad you were able to get out in the warm :3dglasses , albeit windy, weather!

Mike - I'm very satisfied with your lack of running yesterday, it makes me feel better about myself. I thought I'd let you know, though, that I did run up my driveway & over a few speedbumps - not quite sure what my total elevation gain was, though. :lmao: :rotfl:

Dave - Nice job on that run:thumbsup2 . Did you finish your taxes popcorn:: ??? The cruise we're going on is the Eastern Caribbean (I think :lmao: ). We stop in St. Thomas, St. Marten & Castaway Cay. I can't wait. Imagine, 10 days without cooking dinner  !! Dosen't get much better than that! Bruce says "hey Buddy! "

The cloud also says hello to all the rest of you "bots" :worship: . I haven't broken the news to him yet that we're not doing the relay :sad2: , he's gonna be so upset!

Ran a little 3 miles today (I seem to be stuck in 3-mile-mode :confused3 ).

No internet for me for a full 7 days while I'm on the cruise :sad1: What will I do?? And Mike, don't talk about me while I'm gone, I can always go back & look at what you posted!

No problem. I'll post all sorts of nastiness and just go back and edit/delete anything the day before you get home!

Kathy and I did the eastern Carribean cruise thing on our honeymoon. All I've got to say about that is beware of the free rum punch on the snorkeling tours.:scared1: :scared1: :drinking1 :faint:

Cindy - Feel better soon.

Chester - Back to back big runs? A little early for Goofy training, isn't it?

I got 7+ miles in this morning. My Garmin lost the beam from space for a little bit for no good reason. :confused3 I hope it's not a sign of impending technical doom. Although... a nice new 405 wouldn't be so bad.

I forgot to mention this to anyone still considering CMM. I guess they have some special promotion for their 10th anniversary. Some prize or chance for a prize if you register on the 10th of a month.

I think this month is a free pair of shoes to the first 10 people that register so I guess I'm going to stay up until midnight and see how close I can come.

Shhh! Don't tell anyone else.

Howard - I'm not sure what the "Posse" entails, but it sounds right up my alley. I'm glad you and the Honeibees had a good time.

The Posse

The Ultimate in western BBQ. Generous portions of Shorty’s Baby Back, Memphis Dry Rubbed, BBQ Chicken, Andouille Sausage and BBQ Beef Brisket, served with pork and beans, crispy fries, sweet potato fries with molasses, coleslaw & corn bread. [For 2 Guests]

There was enough for 3 or more people.

I went to the YMCA tonight for some action. I biked for 9 miles in 27:43 and lifted some weights for a while. Not running, but it is something.

The PF is at bay for the moment.

Jodi~ So sorry to have missed you (and/or the family) in Norwalk!!!! Enjoy the trip!!!! BTW, most cruises have and internet cafe that you can sign up for by the hour or for a day, etc. Resist the temptation. We don't need to see any Speedo shots of Bruce on the beach or by the pool.

:grouphug:

Howard

Howard- Sounds like you had a great weekend with friends and food. I hope that PF starts getting better for you. How's your new position going anyway?

Dave~ Thanks for asking. It is going well. I am about to get a Press Release sent out making the announcement to the public and I am overwhelmed with work and I love it!

I see the POD on 2/17 and will post a report afterwards. The PF is mostly at bay, but I feel a twinge every now and then.

Have a great evening!

Howard

Hello folks,

Survived the swim meet.

Highlights:

1. Yes, sour skittles were a bit hit!

2. People love chicken fillet sandwiches.

3. People also love real cream for their coffee (sold 100 cups of coffee on Saturday).

4. People also love those HUGE chocolate muffins from Sam's and are willing to pay $2.00 for them.

5. Kids love those Ring Pops and Rope Nerds.

6. Didn't have to go commando on my volunteers.:rolleyes1 I had great people working!:thumbsup2

All in all a great success!

I have to run (go, not really run, I am over that), but I will be back later to wish Bruce and Jodi Bon Voyage!:cloud9:

Colleen: glad the swim meet went well and of course sour skittles were a big hit-- th popcorn::

Mike: even with you taking a day off your schedule of training exhausts me-- I do still laugh picturing your soreness post cross training but only because I know I'm too lazy to train that hard :rolleyes1

Lou: I noticed in your sig that you are doing something with the Penn Relays. I thought those events were for college athletes.. am I wrong?

Chester: Great job on the miles and moving accomplishments. I helped a friend move her Family Medicine office last week but it hardly compares...

Cindy: hope you feel better

I've personally been in a motivational slump. I've been getting in some miles, but grudgingly so. Butch's foot is still not right and I didn't realize how much motivation it was having him run with me. I'm going to try to get in a few miles before I need to get DD from school-- maybe moving will give me back some of my energy...

:rotfl2::lmao: :rotfl: :scared1: EWWWW!! No speedos for the cloud. Did you see that guy during the 1/2??? What a tool!:rotfl2:

I've heard they offer internet but I simply refuse to pay to "talk" to you guys!;)

Colleen - So glad you didn't have to go ballistic on any of your volunteers & ruin your Laura Ingalls rep.

Mike - Got it, stay away from the rum-punch induced comas! Any running today? Did you go up any hills? :rolleyes1 popcorn::

Well, we dodged the bullet as long as we could, buy my son woke up last night around 2, hurling somethin' fierce. Then he got up again @ 3, 4 & 6  . Poor dude. He only got sick one more time today around 10, so hopefully the worst is over. He's sleeping now. Guess it could've been worse - he could've gotten it Thurs. when we leave for vacation. Oh wait, that's when I'm slated to get it! popcorn::

EEEEWWWWW!!!! :scared1:  :scared1: I'm sorry for Spence, but I'm also really hoping that neither you nor the Cloud get sick. You can't get sick on your cruise, and then get everyone on the cruise sick too!

:Mike - Got it, stay away from the rum-punch induced comas! Any running today? Did you go up any hills? :rolleyes1 popcorn::
Just to clarify; no coma, only falling in the mud and semi-public urination. Ahhh, good times!

And yes, thanks for asking. 7 miles. Hills and speed were involved.

Sorry the not-so-little-dude is illin'. You didn't give him any of your peanut butter Clif Bars did you?

Lou - Charred flesh with BBQ sauce. Sign me up!

Jen - The post-marathon motivation slump is to be expected. At least you've got the Princess Half carrot to hang in front of you.

Colleen - Nice to hear you survived the weekend and the volunteers were good to you. How did the kids do?

Bonjour to everyone else!

Jodi - Loads of :wizard: :wizard: for Spencer on kickin the virus b4 you leave on vacation:hug: . Travel safe and have an absolute blast:banana:

Mike & Howard
- No more meat talk:rotfl: !!

Mike - Dig you snag some free shoes yesterday popcorn::? WISH meet post race at the BBQ joint:rolleyes1 I'm trying to get okay with that one ;)

Howard - Glad to hear the PF is keeping quiet these days:cool1: Great news about the job as well:cheer2:

Cindy
- I hope you're feeling better:hug:

Colleen - Glad the swim meet was a huge success:yay: .

I'm putting my time in on the TM nightly more often than not:thumbsup2 Looking forward to daylight after work in order to move it outdoors real soon. My DD's have school vacation next week so I'm taking some time-off to spend with them:love:

Good Morning BOts,

Wanted to pop on here to wish Jodi and family a great cruise!

Take lots of pics!

Lou: I noticed in your sig that you are doing something with the Penn Relays. I thought those events were for college athletes.. am I wrong?

Jen - I am not quite ready to compete in the Penn Relays. Especially after I got smoked by some Rowan runners on a bike trail a few weeks ago. Prior to the Penn Relays they have the Penn Distance Classic which is a 20K run that begins and ends in Franklin Field. You actually get to run a lap around the track in the stadium before you cross the finish line. It's not a well known race but I enjoyed it last year.

Jodi - Enjoy the cruise. I'm sure you and Bruce will have an awesome time. I'll be thinking about you while I map out sewers in Philadelphia this week.

Sara - I know you are into running with music. I'm not sure if you have an iPhone but if you do you have to check out Pandora. They have some incredible music on that site and it's like running with satellite radio. I even found a way to stream Disney Park audio to the phone via Live365.

Work/business is getting more intense by the week. That's a good thing but it's killing my running. I got in 4 on Tuesday and will try to find some time to run in Philly today. Mike has me thinking about hills so I my try to run some trails in Fairmount Park today after my meetings in town.

Have a great day!

Lou - Why am I not surprised that you'll be thinking about me while working on sewers?:rotfl2: Hills, shmills! Mike's got it all wrong - LESS IS MORE!;)

Colleen - Thanks for the well wishes  , I'll be sue to take LOTS of pics & video.

Mike - No urinating in public, GOT IT!:thumbsup2

Dave - I'll take some pics for you to get you ready for YOUR cruise in May!!:goodvibes

Thanks, everyone, for the well wishes for Spencer. He spiked a temp on Tues. after the boot-fest, but woke up yesterday much better & was able to go to school & get all his assignments (he was FREAKING out that he'd fall behind) :confused3 . Nobody run while I'm gone, I don't wanna fall behind on my training.
Watch yourself, Mike, I may pony up the $5 & buy 2 mins. on the internet to make sure you're not being to disparaging!
:grouphug:
Oh yeah, if the boat pulls a Titanic, I want Cam to go after Disney with a vengance. Then, all of you can split the $ & run the Hawaii marathon on me!!popcorn::

Hey Bots!

Got in 6 hard miles in Philly today. I bought into Mike's altitude hype and ran some trails in Philly along Forbidden Drive. That would have been hard enough but they were all sloppy from the recent snow so it was basically running through mud for an hour. Add to the mud the fact that we had 50 MPH wind gusts and I had an enjoyable run. I was covered in mud and exhausted when I got back.

Anyone else have any fun today?

Bon voyage Jodi!

Lou
