The Borgias was good I thought. The family was no more and no less evil than many powerful families of the time.
It was pretty accurate. It's an entertainment program and not a documentary so there will be some drama thrown in to make it more interesting. Take a look and judge for yourself. I'm hoping they flesh out the characters more. There was so much going on in the opener that I felt Rodrigo's character was not as fully developed as I'd hoped.
I agree that it was pretty accurate. I'm sure they will take a little leeway here and there but they probably don't have to stretch it very far considering that Pope Alexander VI (Borgia) is considered by essentially all historians to have been the worst and most corrupt pope in history.
