OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE ICE CREAM SANDWICH!!!!

Oh. My.

A moment of silence please.

I KNOW!!!! (moment of silence has passed....) Jay and I split one too. Only one snack credit! (Actually, I think it was you who told us about that...) It was so yummy. We have been pining for another since then. Yummo!

Great installment (#11), Sher. :rotfl2: Now I'm off to read #12!

One thing that I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. Is this. You pay BIG bucks to stay at the deluxe hotels, right??? But. You share your bus transportation with at least 2 other hotels??

Pop costs significantly less. Like. ¼ less. And shares transportation with no one else.

WHAT??!!!!

That’s just whacked. I don’t care who you are. It makes no sense. Either.

Again, ITA with you, baby! Its why I like the Epcot deluxes best. At least I can WALK to two of the parks. I just don't understand why spending MORE Disney Dollars results in LONGER bus rides. It is, as you say, whacked!

Next Up: Mr. Speedo and Mufasa’s Pride. :teeth:

Hmmmm....don't think I heard this story. Can't wait (I think....).

Ya hoo! It's almost time for Boma! Like Jami, I am really enjoying hearing the "back story", i.e., before we came along!! Maybe I'll also get the real reason for us getting ditched at the pool bar!!!!

Oooh, ooh, I know the answer! The Pop has approximately 5,760 rooms. So does the All Stars (1,920 for each of the three). By comparison, AKL has about 1,300 and the BC/YC has about 1,200 (not sure if that counts the BCV but you get the idea). So it is strictly based on the number of people they have calculated to optimize the bus system. :)

(I probably won’t even get to Boma!)

Yeah I sad this earlier

sheridac said:
Oh. And a tip. For you. From me. Don’t sit for prolonged periods of time in a hand-woven water hyacinth chair. In your undies. It doesn’t make for an attractive look. On your butt. TFI. :teeth:
I know of only one solution :lmao:

sheridac said:
I’m also sure Grammy is right. And I talked to her a bazillion times. Because we do that. Every day.

A telethon is in order to pay my phone bill :guilty:

sheridac said:
It all looked good in my head.

Lots of things look good in there, but that doesn't really mean anything :rotfl2:

sheridac said:
Two things I did feel were lacking at the Pop. Were this.

The cast members uniforms!!!!!!

No!! They HAD uniforms. Sillies!!!!! Butt. They were BUTT UGLY!!!! They looked like prison guards. EEEEK!!!

How much more fun would it be if they were dressed in bell bottoms?? Mini skirts and go-go boots??

And.

The music. They play all that great tunage but have NONE available for purchase.

The Disney Marketing Machine really missed the boat on this one. They could have had The Best of The Pop. Volumes One through Infinity. And beyond.

I would have bought them all.

:thumbsup2 Really, I could design some banging uniforms!!!! AND Grampy would have been all over the C/D collection. Like we need more Oldie type music in our lives :rolleyes1

We got to the bus stop for Animal Kingdom at 4:55 (ish). And thought.

SCORE!!!! No line!!!

And stood there for about 5 minutes. Before it occurred. To me. That Animal Kingdom closes at 5:00.

Duh!!!!

No soup for me.

No bus to Animal Kingdom either.

See above, lots of things look good in there................

sheridac said:
Which meant no ears for me. Either.

Sigh.

Now. Miss B loves Sher. And. Even though Sher’s pretty cute. When she pouts. Wanted to make it better. For Sher.

And said, “Cheer up!! Maybe they’ll have those ears at the gift shop at the AKL. And if they don’t, we’ll just get ‘em tomorrow.”

Ok!!!!!

Says the Mommy to the 5 year old, and sad 5 year old smiles :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

sheridac said:
RRRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!

It was Horsey. She was there. WHERE WAS I????

“I’m in the gift shop." (Where else would Sher be, really??)

Screams, hugs, jumps and kisses all around. Intro’s too.

Now.

WHERE’S THE BAR?????????? ‘Cause Pluto’s THIRSTY!!!!!

Horsey suggested the indoor bar. But Gram and I had previously agreed to meet at the pool bar.

Yep, cause the sights there were................. :rolleyes1

Ok, the good part, I am off the phone and alive and well at the pool bar :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

< ----- Caught up! :woohoo:

Random thoughts as I read 15 pages of whimsy & literary brilliance:

- If dis'wife ever packed free weights...it'd be the last trippie the "hound" family ever takes. :rolleyes2

- Nice inclusion of "pop" shoutouts..such a "disco inferno", (which would be Tavares) & "Bet your sweet bippee" (dickey martin from Laugh In), & too many others to mention. :hippie:

- Facinating sequencing of chapters, addendums, sub-chapters etc. (Did you contribute to the Dewey Decimal System?)

- Lost my po riverside "refellable-for-life mug" at the beach club.... when we went swimming over there for the afternoon. (can i get a new one on ebay?)

- Regarding your two trains of thought on why disney dads like having disney moms around.....it was "answer A" ::yes::

- Do those "skorts" have back pockets to acommodate vibrating cell phones?

- Nice "shout out" to Violet Beauregarde...but perhaps Augustus Gloop would have been the more approriate comparison. I mention this for 3 reasons:

1. I've always loved the name Augustus Gloop and have never typed it out. Also, now many will silently mouth the words to themselves today...maybe when they are out driving...maybe as they gaze at patrons at a chinese "boo fey" restaurant...truly a great name in literature!

2. With Halloween next week, wouldn't Violet be a great character/costume?? Wouldn't have to go out and buy anything...just get all purpley. You wouldn't even have to puff out...just tell people that you already went through the juicer thingy.

3. Was curious if i could spell the name "Beauregarde" correctly w/o looking at it. Nope...screwed it up twice even when i looking at the word on piece of paper.

- & regarding MGM. Has always been a favorite park for disney dads. RnR RC....., Jasmine.......& back pocket vibrating phones......good times!

Ash!!!! I didn't ditch you, pinky swear!!! I don't think I even knew you were meeting us at the pool bar?? Besides which. I think it's pretty clear by now. We aren't good marines!!!!!

Some did. Some didn't.

Hound!!! I did consider Augustus, I did!!! But I chose Violet because it seemed more apropos. For me. 'Cause Augustus was a little piggy ALL the time. And Violet's was a temporary condition. Get it??

But. I make this promise to you here and now...

I will work Augustus Gloop into my next chapter. Just for you!!!! :thumbsup2

First?

Whooooo Hoooooootttttttyyyyyyyy I'm First!!!!!!!

Sher~ You are really, really getting me pumped for the next meet...I may have to take on a PT job to pay for it though...

Can I just say right now. I TOTALLY LOVE GRAMPY!!!! He rocks the Kasbah.

Me too!! Grampy is awesome!

I TOTALLY LOVE GRAMMY too!!!!! She has a smile that lights up a room. And THE greatest sense of humor.

Me too, too!!! True dat. All of it (and a bag of chips, as she'd say!)

ASH!!!!!! This is why we weren’t at the pool bar when you got there. And. Honest Injun. I tried to make it for 10. But. I know that you know that I know that you know that I know that you know that I know you wouldn’t have wanted us to wait for you.

Yeah, yeah, that's what they all say. No, really, really, we were just happy to be seeing you. We didn't need to eat with you. It was fun getting to do the table-hop thing, and it eased us into the crazy weekend-to-come quite nicely. EXCEPT for when you distracted Jay and made him get our TS credits screwed up!!!

And, I'm glad we were late. Don't regret missing that, TFI....

Sher - I can just picture you. Flapping those arms and smiling and working the host CM's at all the restaurants.

Mad skillz indeed, sweet girl.

Another great installment.

I am attending the meet vicariously through each of these reports. But I bet I'm not having as much fun as y'all did. :sad2:

Thankfully. Just at that moment. I heard a big, booming voice.

“SHER!!!!!” It was Grampy. About 4(ish) feet. Just behind Mufasa.

When I heard that voice. And. I saw Grammy and Grampy. Everything else just faded away. I answered the call with my own, “GRAMPY!!!!” And took off running. And screaming.

And took a flying leap at Grampy. Who caught me up in THE BIGGEST BEAR HUG!!!!

Can I just say right now. I TOTALLY LOVE GRAMPY!!!! He rocks the Kasbah. I don’t even mind that I came face to face with his bare chest more often than my own. (Apparently he has a thing. About shirts. Maybe Grammy will fill ya in on that. If you really feel the need. To know.)

Truth be known, Grampy does have a booming voice and an adverse reaction to shirts, he may even be allergic :teeth: but he was happy to see Sheri and Horsey and loves them both, ALOT

sheridac said:
Then a big ten-minute hug for Grammy. I TOTALLY LOVE GRAMMY too!!!!! She has a smile that lights up a room. And THE greatest sense of humor.

This is a paid endorsement from Grammy's personal allowance. I love you too Sheri

It was nearing the time for Jami’s reservation. And since we were all DYING to see her. Grammy, Horsey and I decided to go in to Boma. For to surprise her. Yeah. SURPRISE. That’s what I’m calling it!!!!

And. THERE SHE WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We screamed and hugged and laughed and cried. After ALL these months of talking, planning and dreaming we were THERE!!!!! Together!!!! A dream come true. Really, really.

It was a surreal moment. A moment I couldn't wait for. The moment when Jami was right there before our eyes, waiting for us :grouphug: We hugged and screamed, and I cried. I was beyond happy to be hugging Jami :cloud9:

I should mention here that Grammy, Horsey and I had already met, back in July for a fun-filled weekend touring wineries with another buddy of ours. Who was not here on this trip. In person. But is ALWAYS here. In spirit. For me.

And for me!

sheridac said:
And I decided to see if I could pull out all the mad skillz stops. And change that ADR for 5 into an ADR for 8.

SCORE!!!!!!!

Grammy ran back to the pool bar for Grampy and B.

ASH!!!!!! This is why we weren’t at the pool bar when you got there. And. Honest Injun. I tried to make it for 10. But. I know that you know that I know that you know that I know that you know that I know you wouldn’t have wanted us to wait for you.

I will defend Sheri to the end on this one. It was discussed, to try to add you to the ADR for 3 to 5 to 8, should we make it 10. Yep it was discussed, but you weren't there yet, Ash, so they said they wouldn't add you. Till you were there. And honestly, I didn't even know you were on the way. We were all excited. Till you were in Boma, and Horsey was describing your outfit :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Plus. We just aren’t very good marines.

Sheri - this was the best yet, or was it cause I wa in it :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

To the author of this very fun trip through our trip:

I am sooo tired tonight. Really, I was too tired to time travel on a trippie.

But I couldn't resist.

And I'm soooooooo glad I read it!!!!

It made me smile, laugh (Mufasa!!!), heart-race (the moment I finally got to HUG you all!!!), and remember the magic we felt when we FINALLY met. :cheer2: :cheer2: That was one of the very best surprise greeting hugs of MY LIFE!!!

It was a surreal moment. A moment I couldn't wait for. The moment when Jami was right there before our eyes, waiting for us We hugged and screamed, and I cried. I was beyond happy to be hugging Jami
Grammy...

This is a moment I remember feeling so happy:

Thanks for the great bedtime story, my friend. I'm sure to have Pixie Dust dreams!!!!!

Sher!!! This all sounds fabulous! See?? How close these friendships become?
YOU have aLOT of friends, Sher. Even ones you havent seen in real life! TFI.

(I cant resist this next comment...forgive me!)

OMG!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: bwahahahahahahahahah!

There was a ton of quoteable quoteness here, but I'm about to head off to work and have no time. Just let me say this:

You really DO live according to your motto. It was such a joy to experience that in person. And it shows through every word of your report. Such fun to read it makes my spleen hurt.

And now ... on with the show!

And Pluto came out to play. He surely loves his loverly adult liquid refreshment. Though. You need to keep an eye on your glass when he’s around!!!!!
pictorial evidence provided by Horsey

Blah, blah, blah, chat, chat, drink, drink, drink…..
Yer too funny Sher.

Love the pic of Pluto!

Oh I'm so glad I didn't see something like that...I have this awful habit of staring at things I shouldn't stare at. Like children do. Innocent enough but DH is always poking me for doing so. He tells me it's going to get me in big trouble someday.

At first i thought "what a wonderful scene"....all these happy, witty, sweet ladies embracing each other, and all that is disney. Then I heard that they really had a table for 10 at Boma.... & that they gave AshClan's seats to buddies. ;)

Glad you got your "augustus gloop" on for Boma. :cool1:

hound :thumbsup2

Okay, one very important point was omitted. Part of my spacing about the Ash's arrival was due to these.

Can you all make out what this picture is? I initially called them push me pull yous, as I thought they were one bug with two heads, one at each end. Uh, more high school health class for me.....apparently these were pairs of buggies. The pool bar at AKL was full of these insects, apparently called lovebugs. I felt like I was experiencing a passage out of the Bible when the planet was innundated by locusts. These amorous critters were paired end to end, I suppose involved in an elaborate courting ritual. There was a tiny one (the female?) and a larger one (the male). I was morbidly fascinated with them. People were carrying on as if they didn't exist! This picture was a juice machine. They were covered in it, and all over the bar and the glasses, the tables, our skin.... Apparently their lovesick ways make them attracted to sweetness. Well lord knows there was alot of that at AKL that night! :teeth:

One of the funniest memories of those moments when we headed into Boma, was all the hysterical laughing occuring. Grammy missed her calling as a stand up comedian. As we were headed inside, we came upon a pile of obviously spilled salad on the walkway. A distinguished couple was passing us on in the opposite direction and Grammy said to them....."There's your salad." :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

It was a hoot.....that evening. A great way to start the trip!

I remember Grampyof2 had a Budlight, I had a Maitai and Sher and B and some kind of exotic pina colada type of thing....Yum! and Pluto, well he was guzzling everything in sight, and the other patrons were cracking up watching him. :rotfl2:

Great fun, sheridac. Keep it up! :thumbsup2

Okay, I shouldn't read this at work anymore. It's too hard to explain to everyone why I am laughing so hard.
