I think that all rooms in the Boardwalk have been fully renovated. My room had been an adjoining room, was room 3219. Beware that it is a long walk to that room. I didn't mind it at all (although in my TR I joked that it was located in the French pavilion). But some of those rooms are really far down from the elevator bank so be prepared for that.

Those are your photos posted above right? The view you had is amazing and the fact that it was an adjoining room is a double bonus! :goodvibes

Yes, those are my pictures. Here's the inside of the room:

The door that you see in this picture (left of the tv) is the door leading into the connecting room. I didn't take a picture of the entry or vanity area of this room.

For those that have just returned, what were the appetizers served each night - just trying to get an idea - most say hummus and such, but I am hoping there is more than just hummus and when Spoodles is closed what will they serve. I also saw that they have wings from ESPN, but that does not interest me. YC had really nice variety last time and am still wondering if I am going to be happy with BW. I know it is not the most important part, but my DH is still wondering if we should back out of CL, we love BW, just need a little calming.

We were there a few weeks ago and honestly I didn't do CL for food. So once in a while I grabbed a choc. strawberry or sampled something but I enjoyed it more for the ice tea, cold pop, nice lounge to sit in - nice deck to watch illuminations from....the ease of a CM helping get an ADR...I wouldn't book it for what was on the menu...I was on the dining plan so food wasn't a big deal to me.....from what I saw and DH sampled, looked fine to me...

tkg - ask yourself if you are doing it for the food. If so then you might be disappointed. If the other services they offer you love then CL is worth it regardless. If you are relying of CL to make a meal from, this could be risky as if you hate the offering on a night, etc. you will be disappointed and maybe feel it wasn't worth the cost...

Not planning on it for a meal - we have dining reservations already set - we just moved to CL BWI last week after I had made all the plans. I like CL for the quiet and we enjoy a snack before our late ADRs. My DH is the one that likes the apps and am trying to give him some ideas of what he can expect. I really like CL as it requires keyed entry - a little safer which I am not sure is as important at WDW. Just looking for something to hook him into being happy to move here.

The evening offerings, 5-7pm are usually foods from the BW restaurants. Chili, wings, pulled pork, clam chowder from ESPN, lamb kabobs, rice dishes and other meats from spoodles and red snapper, and other things from Flying Fish.

Just got back tonight from our stay from June 28-Today. Will post more later, but we had a GREAT room! It was deluxe club level room 4255, right above Seashore Sweets. I will try to post pictures of our room and view in the next week :) I have lots of notes if anyone has questions :)

I'd glad you had a great room :) That was the room next to my room in May (but our's was a standard club level room) - fantastic view, wish I was back there now!

I think your DH will enjoy it..I did as you did made the jump to CL only weeks before our trip so I didn't use their pre services like I could have...I think your DH will love having food available and cold drinks. That sold my DH. We went in June and it was a godsend in the heat. Now in the winter, I don't think we can justify CL like we did in the summer. I assume you read the threads on BWI CL as there are a few not so great rooms and so rooms that are even outside the keyed area, like on another floor. Taht was my worry that I would be on the floor below the lounge....But all worked out...

Thanks for the support - just what I needed, now I think I will ask for a room with a full Boardwalk view and hope I am lucky enough to get my wish!

Can a person sleep in that day bed shown above. It looks like the ones on the GF. The old day bed on the BWI were a little bit smaller.

I saw a pic earlier in this thread where there was someone sleeping in the single bed, looked like a mid teenish type male. So looks like they are big enough.

Evening snacks! Woohoo were they good this year. We had a night of ESPN stuff- wings yummy and chili., a night of 2 "pastry" type meats- you know those filled pockets- yummy good. One night was skewered meat, another was chicken tenders(from espn) Really the night with the hummus had 2 other Hot items. It's generally 2 hots and a couple dips along with the cut up pb&j uncrustables that my kids enjoyed.

Lorenzo is the man to talk to about the food- he is so funny and will give you pointers on the good nights!(He gave us the espn heads up!)

Oh and the ONE tv CL room is room number 4225 - how do we know? Well we were put in there at check in! Ooops- switched immediately to room 4229. Much better! Right above the bakery- mmm cupcakes.

SRUalum did you spot us? We were rarely all in the lounge though - there were some rather lively other children in there(another family of 6 and I was mortified thinking that you might think that was us! :rotfl2:)

I am new to this thread.....we are staying at the BWI for the first time in Sept...we have never stayed there in 15 trips....so I am a newbie again...;)

are there king beds???? really?? we booked std view basic. can we request a king room??

thanks everyone:goodvibes

Yes thre are king beds. We got one and did not WANT ONE or request one...Ironic huh? So just request it but as you can see requests are not promised...BWI CL told me when they see 2 or 3 people in a room they try to assign them a king bed.....eventhough I asked for queens...

I don't know if we saw you or not. We were a mom, two girls in their mid 20s-early 30s and a guy in his late 20s who is REALLY tall :) (That's my husband) There were some funny kids in there. There was this little boy who looked to be about 10 who came in every morning and got like 10 apple pastries and then he'd go around and tell everyone how good they were. He was so cute!!

Oh, and I was worried too because we were SO THRILLED about our room because my mom was in love with the view and she would just sit out on the balcony and watch everything and she was in heaven and having a great time, but the people next to us kept looking out their door and then they wouldn't come out on their balcony (I think because we were out there and there was no privacy.) I felt bad that I was going to come back on here and someone would have a thread about the balcony hogs next to them- haha!!

I am a little confused....are all the rooms at the Inn refurbed??
I made our choice to move there based on that thought....can anyone let me know?

thanks;)

ps...does anyone have pics of the king rooms??:goodvibes
