Hi! We are going to be staying at BWI for the first time in September :goodvibes
I have a question, do you know if once the couch is turned into a bed, would a bedrail fit? Is there anything to tuck it under?
Or if we want a pack and play do we request it now or when we get there?
Thanks so much!

There was a pak and play in our closet and we never asked for one. Maybe they are standard? The bed question is a good one. I simply don't know...I would think you COULD as it could tuck between the mattress and the base of the sofa but you might want to check to be sure.

I am a little confused....are all the rooms at the Inn refurbed??
I made our choice to move there based on that thought....can anyone let me know?

thanks;)

ps...does anyone have pics of the king rooms??:goodvibes

Yes, all of the rooms have been refurbed and are so cute! There are some things they should have done a little differently, but the decor is great! I have never seen pics of the King rooms. Are there any on allearsnet?

one more question...is the quiet pool under construction?:confused3;)

There are 2 quiet pools. The one that was near us wasn't under construction. I'm not sure about the other one.

Our room had a pack n play too, so I bet they're standard (although we were in a deluxe room.) From what I could tell on the pull out sofa bed, it seemed like you 'could' put bedrails there, but I don't know how secure they would be. You know how mattresses on those things are kind of 'bendy' and don't really lie perfectly flat in all areas.

there is only 1 pool on the Inn side....correct??

I am asking about that pool. We don't care about the clown pool...stayed at BWV before...so more interested in the pool closest to our rooms;)

Yes, there is only one quiet pool on the Inn side, then the clown pool, and a quiet pool on the Villa side. The Inn quiet pool was under construction when we were there in May 2008, so I doubt it is under construction again. We were just there again in May 2009 and all inside and outside construction seemed complete.

We are the opposite of you...we have been 15 times but have only stayed at BWI!

wow 15 times at the BWI:worship:

We mixed it up over the years and have stayed at almost ALL the disney resorts...except Grand Flor, Contemp, and the budgets.

I am curious....what are the "best" standard rooms to request? the rooms looking over the back entrance to the boardwalk are considered standard?
we stayed in a room over Wyland in the BWV and it was too loud at night with people coming and going....but the sideways views to the lake are fantastic.

it sounds nice to have an illuminations view...I would really like that and it sounds like we may have that with a std view...should I ask for a higher floor?

so far we requested king bed, courtyard view. ;)

Yes, Domco already answered too :thumbsup2 There are 2 quiet pools, but only one on the Inn side of the resort and it was not under construction while we were there June 28-July 5.

I will be staying at the BC but was going to be spending time at the BW. Where is the best place to view Illuminations? Does it get really crowded there (should we get there early to save a spot)? Can you only see the fireworks that are up real high? Also, are there entertainers on the boardwalk on a tues or wednesday night? What times? Thanks for all help!!!

I can't answer that..we don't care about Illuminations view, as we spend most evenings at Epcot or on the Boardwalk, we are never in our room to view Illuminations, so I don't know from what floors you can see Illuminations. I would assume you are correct in requesting a higher floor.

We request 2nd floor rooms with courtyard or quiet pool views, so we can either take the inside route to our room, as lobby is on the 2nd floor, or go out the door and down the steps from the lobby area to the courtyard and then take one flight of stairs up to our room...as you can see we avoid the elevators!

We enjoy the quietness of the courtyard, quiet pool views vs. the Boardwalk views. It is a little oasis away from all the Disney noise. Have only had a noise issue once, but that was with a group in the room next door. Usually a very quiet area.

If you are planning on watching Illuminations from the actual Boardwalk, and not inside the resort, I never once saw it crowded. You have to remember with Illuminations, that most of the show is very low. You will ONLY see very few high fireworks and won't hear any of the music, so if you really want the full effect of the show, you should probably view it from inside Epcot :thumbsup2

The entertainers on the Boardwalk are AWESOME!! They are there nightly between 7-10pm. They perform in the area in front of the Screen Door and in front of Seashore Sweets and they switch positions so that if you come in half way through the show, you can follow them to the next performance location and watch the show from the beginning.

Thanks for the info. We have been saying for the last two trips that we were going to take time out of each trip to visit the Boardwalk area and we finally will make it there. Sooo glad to hear that the entertainers will be there nightly. I was afraid it was only going to be the weekends. THANKS!!!

Going on Wednesday, tell me what is the best thing about BWI!

The LOCATION!

We normally stay at Deluxes and the bus service at them is HORRIBLE, so it was really nice to be able to walk to 2 of the 4 major parks, and actually, we walked through Epcot and took the monorail to the MK just to avoid the bus 2of the 3 times we went there.

Thanks for the information! I'll be staying at the DVC club here and have never stayed on an Epcot property (always been near the MK) so I'm excited to go!

We are on a waitlist for a Boardwalk view for Feb 12-18th. Right now we have a garden/pool view, how good are these views and if you are looking at a map, where are some of these rooms located?

If you are CL do you have a chance to have a BW view? Is it a request or an additional price? Thanks
