I am visiting WDW this fall with my husband, our two year old son, and my mother. We were planning on going in October and staying at the GF, but I found out about the free
DDP right before I booked, so we moved our trip to September... and found the best deal for us was a Garden Suite at the BWI. (It saved $2000+ !, since we could get one room instead of two, and it was available with the free DDP.)
We would ideally love a quiet room that isn't too far from the concierge lounge, but has a great view of something... We are expecting to be in the room a fair amount during the afternoon so the toddler can rest, and we are planning on supplementing the DDP with concierge level snacks. Am I likely to be disappointed with the Garden Suites? I keep reading about how far most of the Garden Suites are from the concierge lounge if you don't want to climb four flights of stairs.
What are the views like? Just the little private garden in front? Or do any have either boardwalk views or epcot views?
Are there specific room numbers I should request or really try to avoid?
How much privacy and separation is there between the upstairs and downstairs? My husband and I were planning on taking the upstairs while my mother stayed downstairs. (We're planning on letting our son sleep where ever he wants.)
Yikes, too many questions, I'll consider that enough for now!
