Glad I could help. I pulled out receipts. The breakfast at Spoodles was $11.99 all you can eat. An american breakfast, not all you can eat was $8.99. I have 2 room service charges one for $52.96 the other for $59.21 one was the breakfast, forgot which one. But included the taxes, delivery charge and automatic tip.

We are a family of four that needs a "little extra space". After careful consideration we have choosen to stay in a DC room instead of a Garden Suite. We were considering a GS room because of the extra half bath, but the distance to the CL was the deal breaker. Any info or feed back would be appreciated.
We normally stay on the monorail, but need a change.

I have not seen the DC rooms, but have the GS. The GS are fantastic. The Bedroom is upstairs. There is a private garden area with a white picket fence, also you are on the ground floor and the pool is right there. It would be great with kids. Ask yourself, how much time are we going to spend in the CL vs the room? If you want to use the quite pool, you will be heading down there, If you want to walk around the gardens, you will be heading down there.

Believe me I would MUCH rather stay in a GS. The whole idea of having a somewhat separate area from the kids and the extra half bath is a major selling feature. How far of a walk is it to the lounge?? I have recieved different reports, but seem to know what you are talking about.

The lounge was in the middle of the wing on the top floor. There are rooms on either side. Same for the ground floor. The ground floor is all garden suites. You could actually be right under it. The problem being that you have to go to the main lobby for the elevator. We would take the elevator up and the stairs back down as we were the fartest away from the lobby near the corner. But it was very quite. There are stairs in the corners of the building. But 4 flights up were a bit much for me and the wife, kids would have no problem (Gophers?). If you get a GS close to the main lobby, the elevators are right there.

The stairs do not bother us. What room would you suggest to keep us close enough to the stairs or elevator that gives us easiest access to the lounge? I am starting to change my mind on the GS.

1201 is the closest to the stairs (both to the lobby and inside stairwell up to the 4th floor). 1201-1204 have patios, 1205-1207 have an upper balcony (my favorite) and 1208-1215 have patios. 1205-1207 are directly under the concierge lounge.

Is there anything else different about rooms 1205-1207? I thought I read somewhere that there are two different room layouts.

The bathroom is at the top of the stairs in 1205. The sink area and jacuzzi tub are open, the shower and toilet are in their own room. After the bathroom is the king bed and a door out to the balcony. Not sure how the rooms in 1206 and 1207 are set up. You can only request one of these rooms. I tried for our wedding but wasn't able to get one of them. Sorry I don't have any digital shots from that room.

Hi All!

I am about 99.9% sure I saw a picture of a Deluxe Concierge room at BW that had a DVD player under the second TV (in the area with the sofa bed). Do all of the rooms of this type have a DVD player...or was that maybe one that someone brought from home? Speaking of that, do the TVs have front hook-ups for a portable DVD player if we bring ours?

Can someone please give me the layout of this lounge( TV, space, etc, ?). We have stayed at the Polynesian, CR, GF and Yacht Club concierge in the past.

Tonyspad--if you go to allearsnet they have pics of the lounge. It is a nice size lounge. As you walk in the lounge to you right there is a coffe and hot chocolate service area. Walk in further and back behind that area is a staff desk. There is a tv over on the far right wall with some sofas and chairs. There are tables spread out and doors out to the balcony. Over to the left of the entrance is the serving area where the food is put out. Then on the left wall is where the beverages are kept. I know others can probably explain it better than I can but that is a start. My family loves the BWI and concierge!!

Animal Kingdom Lodge - September 29 - October 1, 2007

Polynesian Resort - October 1 - 6, 2007

This is our fifth trip to Disney and we are really excited. We have only stayed at value and moderates before this trip.

Has anyone stayed in the 2 bedroom villas? Are they far away from the pool area? Would I be better off with 2 rooms?

Also, how is the pool? What is the transportation like?? I am trying to decide between WL and BWI..

Transportation is great. Walk or take the boat to Epcot or MGM. Bus or Monorail (EPCOT) to Magic kingdom. Bus to Animal Kingdom. Buses make stops at all the EPCOT resorts. Quick though. Only 4 and they are close to each other. You can get off at any stop and walk to the BWI. I have stayed at the inn not the Villas, but can tell you that the villas are next to the big pool with the slide. The Inn has the quite pool.

Sorry but I'm being a bit lazy and haven't read this whole thread yet Do all the rooms have full balconies or do they have a mix of balconies like at the BC? Thanks.

Well, after much thought and input from this board I have booked a Garden Suite room for our 04/08 trip. We carefully weighted our options between the deluxe concierge room and the GS. The GS won out due to the extra bath and somewhat separate sleeping areas. The only neg that weighted on my decision was the distance to the lounge from the GS. I figured that we might wind up with a third floor deluxe room, besides the extra exercise will not kill us.
Has anyone ever be able to apply a discount code to this room category? Every little bit helps. How about some pictures??

Congrats on your booking! FYI - I have seen AP discounts on the Garden Suites - not sure about other public or AAA discounts, as I've never specifically priced those.
