Well, the show had a sad start this year.
Ian Groom, a top-ranked aerobatic pilot was killed when his plane did a nose dive into the ocean during his practice on Friday afternoon. It was his 58th birthday.
Other than that, the show was fantastic, as always.
The Blue Angels only had 5 jets this year, one pilot was not allowed to fly due to undisclosed medical reasons.
The Blue Angel pilots and the Canadian Snowbird pilots were staying in the same hotel we were!
I loved the TomCats and the Stealth Bomber.
But, there is something about the Blue Angels that takes your breath away.
I had tears in my eyes watching them perform.
I took LOTS of pictures. I think I probably have 30 pictures of sky and clouds! I hope a few came out good.
We are back home this afternoon and they flew over our house a few times during the show. This is the first year they've come right over the house during their performance.
Next year, the show will feature the Thunderbirds.
They're amazing too, but I can't wait to see the Blue Angels again!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
