The Biggest Loser ~ Season 10 ~ "Paying It Forward"

oh danny looks good! happy he kept the weight off

And the Doctors show paid for him to get all that skin cut off too. He looks good.

I think they all deserve to get on. I hope they have a team of the losers.

I hope that dreadlock guy comes back and stays through the makeover show :rotfl:.

:lmao: Yes, we were really laughing at his pony tails he wore during the race. I did feel bad for him when he fell though.

I loved this show the first 7 or 8 but lately I've had my fill of it. Sitting through 2 hours of them picking the contestants were so boring.
I still love the idea of it just don't like the direction it has taken.

I'll probably just flip over and watch it for a few minutes while something else is on.

I would love more updates on previous contestants.

This will be only the second season I've watched, so I guess I'm not tired of it yet. I found last season to be so inspirational, especially that guy who weighed over 500 lbs when he started! He looked amazing at the end!

The strange thing is, I get this bizarre urge to snack on something when I watch this show. Isn't is supposed to have the opposite effect?? :confused3 Maybe I need to seek counseling. ;)

Funny Bob and Julian both said stop snacking and get off the couch in the beginning of the show once. Because they know people do this...:lmao:

are there usually this many extreme sad sad stories (death of family members etc)? I feel like there are more than usual.

I was thinking the same thing. This might sound cold/harsh, but so be it. Maybe I'm not remembering everything, but when this series first started, it seemed to be more focused on the weight loss/achieving a healthy lifestyle aspect. Now it's much more emotionally manipulative with all the sob stories of why everyone got so fat (abusive parents, daddy didn't love me, parent/spouse/sibling/child got sick/died, etc). Plenty of people have similar events in their lives and don't balloon up to that size. It all comes down to not eating right and zero exercise (of course, someone with medical issues can be an exception).

I assume there's an application process to be considered for the show. I assume the producers specifically go for those with that type of background story, rather than the "I eat enough for a family of 5 and the only workout I do is 12oz strip set curls" person.

and does anyone want to place a wager on how soon the first product placement spot shows up? "use these Ziploc (cha-ching$) bags to divide up your snacks..... (cause you know, those other bargain bags just won't do the job)"

Same here. I got McD's last night & thought about watching while eating my Big Mac.:lmao: However I still have not watched the show yet as it was too late last night.....

I will get to it today. I can't wait to see Danny.:yay:

Right now, it is back to Warehouse 13 Season Finale and dishes.

Yes, last night was really long and boring as they went from city to city looking for the new contestants.

I will say the PREVIEWS for the season look INTENSE.

They traveled the entire country and L.A. (I live an hour away) appeared to be the COLDEST ... when the heck did they film in L.A. that it was that cold and windy (it is always lovely there)? I was cold watching them.

I felt HORRIBLE when the dude with the dreads fell TWICE. :sad2:

Like others have said here, allot of really sad stories. :sad1:

I thought Danny and Michael look great! :thumbsup2

I keep hoping that one year they will do an internation version. I would LOVE to go on the show, but sadly Canada hasn't come up with our own version :sad1:

I love watching biggest loser. I usually find it inspirational but I agree that there seem to be a lot of bad luck stories this time.

I found myself wondering this show if maybe the theory for this season particularly is for those who have used tragic events as a kind of excuse. They have done plenty of the I eat 12 cheeseburgers at a sitting kinds of things. However, I agree it was a bit over the top with the tragedies.

Should be an interesting season. Look forward to chatting with you all about it.:surfweb:

I watched it with my DS (age 13) and he commented how it was sort of unfair that the most unfit people (the ones that came in last in a ONE MILE RACE, etc) were the ones that didn't get to go to the ranch. Kind of ironic.

I've wondered the same thing. Like last season, players like O'Neal should have been in the first time because he needed it more.

But then I thought about it more and realized that the people who need it the most unfortunately don't often make for the best TV. I wonder if they have these fitness contests in the beginning to weed out those with preexisting physical limitations that would most likely have them sitting out competitions and spending most of their workout time in the pool rather than getting the crap beat out of them by Jillian and Bob, both of which make for good television.

Maybe they are just trying to avoid having another Ron who wasn't competitive in the challenges. He probably needed to be there more than anyone on his season and I'm glad the show helped him out, but his performances really didn't make for exciting TV. Fortunately he had his son and was a game player which made him interesting.

I love this show too!!! Have watched it since the beginning. I also think this show has gone in a different direction since the first few shows. Now, it's much more game play, more product placements (which you can tell are always staged!!!) more..let's see how much we can get them to do, etc.

No matter though...I'll still watch it. :thumbsup2

ITA!!! And I will still watch!!! :thumbsup2

Finally sat down and watched last night. Are they going to send half of the contestants home? That is how it looked to me.:confused3I hate how they do that to people.

As far as the stories and the competition to get on the show, yea that was a little stinky as well.

I am hoping that the show tonight is has some uplift.

I loved seeing all the former contestants! That was cool.:goodvibes

This is one of my favorite shows, but I skimmed the first one once I started hearing all if the sad stories. It seemed like they were trying to take Abbie and multiply her!

Looking forward to tonight's episode.
