What did you think? I am loving seeing everyone but don't find this Allison? I think her name is as that great of a host. Maybe she's just nervous but I miss Caroline! So far they have done great. I know a couple of weeks ago that People did a nice spread on some of the past participants as well! It's definitely motivating!

I agree with you - I kept wanting to fast forward over her when she was interviewing. It felt like I was up late watching an infomercial or something.
:( But I loved seeing the baby and hearing updates.

Why is Caroline gone - anyone know?

I saw most of it also. Kept switching back and forth with the Sox game.

I didn't like the new host. It feels that she is the string of ones that are bad on several shows. No personality, no comfort. I love Caroline. I am not sure why she left, but would like to know as well.

It was the same, do a little video, ask to questions and then "Did you keep it off". That was the part that made if feel like an infomercial. She and the audience did not need to keep asking together.

They all looked to me like they had gained weight since the show, except for Pete. They did not show their ending weight from the show, so it was hard to be sure.
The host always seems to me like a 5th wheel, but I guess you can't have the trainers doing the votes.
So glad to see Jillian's back. Kim is just too blah.

I believe all of them including Pete gained weight back (I think Pete and Dre were the closest to keeping the weight off.) I couldn't wait to see this show, but to be honest I was disapointed. I've watched every episode since season one and can't wait for the new season with Jillian back, but this show was kind of a bummer for me!

They did all gain some weight back (except Pete maybe) - but that is what I liked about it.

They are still maintaining healthy lifestyles and healthy weights, in a real world.

As Larry put it, he just was not willing to continue to work out 4 hours a day to maintain a 12% body fat ratio, or something like that.

That is not a real picture, and the only thing about the show that I really don't like, it is not real.

None of us have the ability to leave our homes and jobs and do nothing but eat (with chefs cooking meals) and work out four hours a day - or most of us anyway.

Not sure what is going on with Matt though - his wife had a baby, but he is definitely heavier. He is working on it though, only human afterall.

Him and Suzy were on one of those gossip TV programs and she said she was healthy during the pregnancy up until month 7 and then started to eat whatever she wanted. He then said he gained sympathy weight. I imagine it'd be hard if your buddy all up and quits and eats whatever, and then all the sudden cheeseburgers sound really good too

It was great to see the old contestants and I think they did a good job of keeping off the weight for the most part.

I hated watching Marty and his proposal to Amy. Doesn't anyone remember that the was MARRIED while he was on the show.

So, I was a big dork today at work and went to the biggest loser website and someone posted a link from Kai's myspace space (she was a contestant the same season) and she confirms that Marty cheated on his wife with Amy while he was away at the show. So he proposed to his mistress on national television with at ring that NBC bought. HOW TACKY IS THAT!!? Plus he just seemed full of himself. Ok...enough complaining...

Here's the link to the myspace page: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=127168868&blogID=306849856

You know I kept thinking that one of them was married when they were on the show. It is extremely tacky and totally disrespectful to Marty's wife.

You think I'd remember that since I've seen every episode like 5 times, but I forgot.

That is kind of odd that NBC went that route. I wish they could have brought back the final 4 from each season too. (I realize Matt and Suzy wouldn't have been able to make it)

I can't wait for next week and the reruns have really helped me get through my continued work!

Allison is an actress from "Days of Our Lives". Didn't care for her either. I keep thinking of her as "Sammy" from Days. Haven't watched soaps in 10 or more years, but that's what I think of.

well i'm in the unsure of Allison club too -- i was disappointed in the show. it was GREAT to see the contestants but the cheese factor was HIGH with the 'big question' and the proposal. honestly, i didn't remember that Marty was married! that left a sour taste in my mouth for sure. Kai's blog is good to read, thank you for posting that link. she's a bit harsh but that is who she is :teeth:

my DD and i was so disappointed that Kai wasn't back too

i think i would've liked them to address that for the final WI obviously they contestants get as low as they can and then resume a 'healthy' weight after the cash is awarded and their journey is taken to the next level -- maintenance

and -- you all i'm so anal -- i rewatched it and FF through it and wrote down the contestants FINALE weight, their REUNION show weight, and the weight they had kept off since the show. a couple I had to research online b/c they didn't show a clip during the reunion show even. I never found Kelly's final BL weigh-in but found a blog where she had stated at one point she had lost 94 lbs. here are my results

Marty
FINALE -- 219
REUNION -- 240
lbs kept off -- 125

Erik
FINALE -- 193
REUNION -- 231
lbs kept off --176

Dre
FINALE -- 150
REUNION -- 151
lbs kept off -- 64

Pete
FINALE -- 198
REUNION -- 241
lbs kept off --160

Pam
FINALE -- 179
REUNION -- 187
lbs kept off --60

Wiley
FINALE -- 178
REUNION -- 210
lbs kept off --97

Poppi
FINALE -- 115
REUNION -- 126
lbs kept off --106

Kelly
FINALE -- ?? 94 lbs lost on a blog
REUNION -- 160
lbs kept off -- 63

Amy
FINALE -- 154
REUNION -- ??
lbs kept off --??

now don't get me wrong, i think it's TOTALLY REAL that most of them regained, i just wish the trainers could've acknowledged it and addressed it as part of a BL contestants journey. and the importance of finding a healthy weight, not trying to maintain a weight too low for your body size/lifestyle etc. seemed like they tried to ignore it which just made it stand out that much more

I just watched my Tivo, so now I can read this thread! Okay, did anyone notice that they edited it poorly? When one of them went over to where they were sitting to hug Bob or Kim (can't remember which), another blue team member was sitting there, at first he was there, then he wasn't. I can't remember his name. Anyway, I thought that was odd!

I was also disgusted by Amy/Marty.

I read in People magazine (at the checkout) that Dre actually lost more weight. Pete looked great! I love it that so many made it a lifestyle change.
