The big "no buy in July" thread!

Dreamer that is a fantastic beginning to the month!!!

Yesterday was a no spend day so I am 3/12 on no spend days. ;)

Thought today would be a no spend day but had my OB appt and was reminded I need to start pre-paying for my up coming delivery bills. Which actually is fine by me! So I will pay a little each month rather than get a whooping bill in Dec. $64 today.

Total for the month:
$143/900

Oh and I looked at my electric bill. We are on a budget plan and next month is the last of the yearly cycle. We are ahead so next month looks like we will have NO electric bill! :woohoo:

This may be a good month - I'm working so much I won't be able to spend anything.....

Well, yesterday was SUPPOSED to be a $0 day, but didn't end up that way. A co-worked talked me into going to Old Navy at lunch to return something. Since I don't like their clothes that much, I figured there was no temptation there and it'd be safe to go along for the ride. Not until we were on our way there did she mention she also needed to stop at the Target in the same area :scared1: It was a different Target than the ones I usually hit, and they just happened to have those darn 14K gold earring sets I'd been eyeing for my daughter at 75% off!! (They are only 30% off still at my normal store.) I couldn't pass that up, now could I???? I got 2 sets of 3, plus another single pair for just $24 total. I plan to give her one set around back to school when she can take her piercing posts out, then I'll hold the others for Christmas.

On the other hand, when I got home, I found my car insurance renewal waiting for me. It actually went down $55 for this period - I think a wreck from 5 years ago finally dropped off my record. So that balances out what I spent, right??

7/1 $15 LLBean, $15 Everyday Minerals, $31 Target, $30 Myzeno.com, $3 Target

That's it, I just miss you guys. I miss coming on here each night to record my spending. For those who don't folloe my every post :rotfl: I am away for 2 week helping my grandparents strip wallpaper, paint, get new carpet, etc in preperation to start getting their house ready to sell. Sine I am the only family member to help (don't get me started) and I am the only on who has young kids (or any for that matter) and I live out of state I have been coming for 2 weeks each summer to work. I haven't spent much here since I am here working, but have done some school shopping for the kids here to get some variety. But, despite not spening much it meant a lot to my DH for me to not worry about it while I am gone and to just enjoy the time I did have away from work to visit with all my old friends (I grew up here) and my family, so I am not recording till July 13 when I get home.
I did have to share a couple things since I know my BB friends will get it! :woohoo:
So yesterday FD was extended as you know, our dates were blacked out so I added 2 days so we arrive earlier now and even having adding 2 days we saved $600+ on our room and $300+ on my grandparents room, so we saved almost $1000 and we get to stay for 11 nights instead of 9! I am sooooo excited!!!
Next, my kids really like Converse shoes. They like all the designs. But they are so expensive! So while here I found knock offs that look sooooo much like the real thing and they were on ssale for $11 a pair!!! I let my older 2 girls each pick 3 pairs (DD15 foot hasn't grown in 2 years and DD11 got current size and a half and whole size up) so I got 6 pairs for $66, last year DD15 got a pair of the real thing for $65 so that was exciting to me, and they love them!
Well, I just wanted to say HI to everyone and that I miss all of you. My internet is spotty here since my grandparents don't have a computer much less internet, so bye for now...
