The big "no buy in July" thread!

OK aiming fo a no spend day today. Mailing out books and dvds that I sold, so actually a make extra money day

July 1 - $6 for ice cream for me and DD, $10 lunch Chick Fil A

July 2 - 98.45 at Walmart - that includes groceries for the week, cat stuff, paper products and toiletries. If I can keep this under $500 total for the month, that would be great!

July 3 - groceries 20.38 (meat and stuff)

July 4 - 3.03 McDonalds

July 5 - 16.93 lunch, $3 snacks at the pool

July 6 - ZERO!!

July 7 - 11.72 lunch

I will be going out of town Thursday thru Saturday this week. All things will be paid for thru savings set aside for this so I am not going to count it here.

Today should be a no spend day mainly because it is like pea soup outside and I am going to avoid being out as much as possible!!!

Heading to NYC this Sat for a baby shower. I know it will be a spendy day but I have room for it in my budget. Just need to remind myself that there is no need for touristy extra shopping while I am there!!:lmao:

Good Walgreens run, but a bit complicated. If you are a Walgreens couponer, you might like this:

Took $2 in previous register rewards and coupons- got Greenworks Dishwashing liquid for 99 cents and dishwashing machine detergent for 50 cents ( a real score -normally costs $5.29 for the Cascade gel kind). Then I took the $2 in register rewards earned from that and applied it to three 12 packs of diet pepsi, and got $2 more in register rewards. So, if you count that I had previous register rewards, the dishwashing stuff was free.

Yes, I stood in line twice. Gotta save money. :-)

:rotfl2:I just did two transactions at Walgreens!
I spent $5.49 for Febreeze Candle Kit(which I will get back in rebate) and pencils, saved $11.75 and received $2RR. Then I spend 1.47 on a toothbrush, saved $3.50,and received $2RR. Also did a trip to Kroger for $4.98 and saved $8.34.

oooh Cindy... you are good. :-) I'm really starting to work the Walgreens register rewards and getting good at it. The only problem is that I have to ask myself if I really need the item that is free.... we live in condo!
