who has a better CS breakfast POR or POFQ? we are staying at POR- is it worth the walk over to POFQ for breakfast?
are beignets served all day long?

Yes, beignets are served all day long. My dh would drive over every morning to get me some, bless his heart. As for cs breakfast food, it's all about the same. They may differ in a baked good or two but for the most part it's the same eggs, waffles, etc. The beignets are really the only unique breakfast item as I recall.
Have fun!

I've stayed at FQ four times and I don't remember breakfast being anything worth burning up morning park hours for. It can get quite crowded in the morning as the food court isn't really big enough for the size of the resort.

Beignets are served all day, so if you want to check out the POFQ some afternoon or evening, stroll the grounds, swim in the serpent pool, etc. you can get some then. Be aware, though, that if there's a line they seem to cook ONE..... SINGLE.....ORDER.......AT.......A.......TIME..... If you are an impatient Northerner, like me, no snack is waiting a half hour for. Yes, you read right - my order of 6 beignets took 30 minutes of standing there waiting. Why can't they cook up two or three orders at a time if there's people waiting??? :confused3 This is one of those inscrutable mysteries of WDW...;) Plus, when I got them, they weren't any different than the fried dough globs you can get at any Chinese buffet. (As you can tell, I was less than impressed. But so many people rave about the, you should really get them and try for yourself.)

We stayed at POFQ last October and indeed the beignets are cooked one order at a time--they were good but, we only got them once as the wait was so long! My DD is still talking about the yogurt parfait (just like we can make at home--yogurt and berries mixed together), if it was me I would opt to get the beignets later in the day. :)

We have stayed at POR and just returned from our POFQ stay. We really enjoyed the beignets, but I agree that you should head down to get them some other time then prime breakfast hours since they are so labor intensive to make and available all day. My son and husband got them as a dessert with their counter service meal one nite. The walk from one resort to the other is right along the river and quite pretty. You can also take the boat transport back and forth if the legs are tired. Other than that, the breakfast menus are pretty similar, I think. I think you can get chocolate pancakes at POFQ but not at Riverside? Also, I know we got chocolate croissants at Riverside last stay and they didn't have any at POFQ this stay.

Just one other note. It seems your kids are young and I would wager they would like the pool at POFQ better. It is larger than the main pool at POR (so seems less crowded) and the slide/water sprays are more dramatically themed. check www.portorleans.org to see pictures and info regarding both resorts.

We have done both and prefer POR because it is larger and has more choices but POFQ has the bicuits and gravy that DH loves. The beignets are ok, nothing I would go out of my way for.

I would eat at your resort. The beignets are served all day. They are good, but not a WOW item.
