The best trip insurance?

I read a lot about how Disney's trip insurance isn't that great. I went to insuremytrip.com (at least I think that's the right name), but I didn't know there were that many insurance policies. How do I pick? I've seen some for a lot less than Disney's but I don't want to just pick based on price. I want one that is actually going to do something. For those of you who have used them, what do you pick? How did you know it was the right one?

We've had travel insurance for our cruises (luckily, never had to use) and had Travel Lite the last time. It was $79 for myself, DH and DD (she was free with adults). They usually price by per person trip price and ours have been under the $1000 pp (including airline fare and cruise).
I find that they are one of the better ones. We almost had to use last year because were scheduled to leave out of New Orleans on our cruise, then wasn't sure what was going to happen after Katrina hit. They were very helpful with my questions and are pretty specific on what they cover and don't.

Whichever one you choose, read everything carefully and make sure there are not "catches". We discovered this one through our travel agent, which we book cruises through. We plan other vacations on our own.

I’ve bought several policies through insure my trip; but never had to use them. I usually pick the five or six cheapest policies and compare what they offer. How much for trip interruption, delay, luggage replacement, etc. Usually one or two will drop off right away. For a trip to Disney you don’t need as much for medical evacuation as you would if you were going to the Amazon jungle; so you can save money there. I also try and pick one with a fairly high rating or a company I have heard of before. Also, you have to buy soon after you book to cover “pre-existing” medical conditions.

I guess you make an educated guess and hope you don’t have to use it.
