where, why, what kind and how big( family, personal or somewhere in between! mainly cause it will only be 2 of us and don't want enough for an army)

Thanks

We really enjoy Mama Melrose. We like to have a later than normal lunch there, it is usually not too crowded, the service is good, the beer is cold and the pizzas are very good. They also have other selections; salads, pasta, etc.. I think you'll enjoy it.

Where?: Mama Melrose is at MGM

Portion?: Just about perfect - but if I have two beers I find the pizza just a little too much

Why?: Well, other than the reasons listed above - the atmosphere is very nice - a little Dean Martin / Frankie playing in the background - the smell of the wood fired ovens that the pizzas (flatbreads) are cooked in.

I like the pizza at Wolfgang Puck's Express in DTD.

As for regular pizza, best I've had so far is at Flippers in Old Town on 192.

The best flat bread I have ever had (in my whole life) was at JIKO... holy cow, it was so good I had to go back the next night for more :)

JIKO <--- try it

I'll second that. We had the coffee marinated BBQ chicken one... Which one did you have Cassie? (We also had another one w/ cheese and stuff, but it wasn't as memorable.)

Just got back 10/19. Not pizza but the best flatbread I ever had was at Chef's De France. It is on the appetizer list at lunch. I would do this and a salad. The bread is so think and flaky, topped with creme fraiche, carmelized onion, bacon and gruyere cheese. To die for!!!!! 3 of us split it as an appetizer and then had lunch. Next time I would just do the appetizer and a side salad.

yum.. too bad they all sound good! so still don't know where to go but at least I have some choices! thanks!

Thanks for the info on great Pizza at WDW. I agree about Jiko's flatbread! We will be tring a few of the others soon!

Flatbread at Ca Grill, personal pizza at Palio.

Great atmosphere at both places and excellent service.

I'm with Grumpy 92 on this...pizza at Mama Melrose and flatbreads at CG. We also enjoy the flatbreads at Jiko and WP.

DH and I are crazy for the flatbread at Spoodles. It is a must have every time we go!

The flatbread is absolutely AMAZING at the California Grill @ the Contemporary. They usually 2-4 different types on the menu & my husband and I share one as an appetizer. We have had several different flavor combos and found each one to be wonderful--then again all the food at CA Grill is wonderful. :) Enjoy your trip!

Best pizzas are definately at Wolfgang Pucks Cafe at Downtown Disney West Side. Pizzas are slightly different in the Cafe than at the Express locations. They offer different toppings, plus you get the free breads with butter which are great. The view of the lake at night is fantastic, although if you eat inside, it can get a bit noisy if the restaurant is full. If you have ever had California Pizza Kitchen or Carrabba's wood-fired pizza, this is even better.

Palio's, Portobello's and Mama Melrose's have brick oven pizza.

Get's my vote,DW just love it haven't tried Wolggang's.Sounds maybe like we should give it a try.Everytime I go to DTD though I end up at HOB eating Voodoo Shrimp and Cajun Meatloaf.::yes:: :wave2:

I agree with KFISCHER and Lady from NYC...

CA Grill has awesome flatbreads and I think KFISCHER is right, they lose money on that salmon flatbread...it is LOADED...they lightly smoke it themselves, it's buttery and complimented nicely with a lemon cream.

One vote for Toy Story Pizza Planet

Portion: perfect for 1

Why: Great if MGM anyway and a pizza craving hits, the pepperoni was and still is my personal favorite. Also fun to people watch if eating near Muppetvision
