The best cosmetology

I'm getting married in December and I would like everyone's suggestions on who is the best at hair and make-up and who can come to my room on the day of the wedding. All reccomendations welcome and appreciated!

All of the people on Disney's list of possible vendors can come to your room for hair and makeup, which is soooo helpful!

I wanted a more natural look and I wanted airbrush makeup, so I chose Patricia LeJeune. She also does mineral makeup and traditional foundation, and she did an excellent job on my hair. Her rates are $50 each for hair and makeup, plus a $50 travel fee (this fee is waived when you do a trial run with her).

Unfortunately I've heard lately that people have had a hard time getting ahold of her. However I found that once it got closer to my wedding she responded to emails and phone calls very quickly. So I recommend her with the caveat that she isn't the greatest about communication....

Your hair was gorgeous! I read your trip report and I had so much fun with it. You had a gorgeous wedding! Thanks for your advice... how did the airbrush stay on. If I remember your pics right, you looked gorgeous all day and night! Thanks for the information. I'll check her out right now!

I'm so glad you liked the trip report! Patricia uses real airbrush makeup, so it stayed put from 5am til about 10:30pm. Apparently some people put regular foundation in their airbrush and it doesn't stay on as well.

I also bought something called Model in a Bottle and had her spray me with it at the end. Many makeup artists use a similar spray by MAC - it really works!

I used Lisa Pena from Lisa's Magical Weddings... She was the sweetest and nicest person that I spoke to when I first start my search for cosmetology... She has a bubbly personality and answered my 100 questions with having to think about it... The others took days and sometimes weeks to respond to my emails and a couple I never heard from... When I called Lisa, I left a message and I received a call the same day... Her website is beautiful and her work is amazing... My hair and my bridemaids hair was breath taking... It was well secured and not a piece of hair out of place... Our make up was just what we wanted very noticable but natural. Some of my bridemaids had Lisa use Mineral make up on them and the make up on all of us stayed on well passed midnight and our wedding started at 1pm... Our hair??? Some girls still had their hair up the following day... I have done a lot of research as well and asked the coordinator questions as well and that helped me make my decision... Lisa has been doing this a long time and she is on time... Made me feel like an old time friend and that in itself made me feel more relaxed... I felt at home with her... Her price is very good... She is worth more... Remember you pay for what you get and I feel I didn't pay enough... I felt and looked like a model.... Also she does come to you and she does not charge a travel fee at all not even for a trial run...

Also, so that you do not get confused... When I was first started searching and asking questions on hair and make up, I received a lot of responses that Lisa was ok and other negative remarks.... You really have to be carefull because from what I understand there are 2 Lisa's out there and I myself found out... Make sure that you mention the right person and it is always good to know their last name... I can't even imagine Lisa Pena being nothing other than wonderfull... My wedding was complete with her being part of it...

It has to be somebody that's promoting her business for her. I mean, I remember when freebutterfly2 first came around here there were all these spam replies all over the place.

If this is a friend of Lisa I hope they realize that this is actually hurting her business.

I used Ana from Beaute' Speciale. She was great! She did my hair three times: for a trial, for the wedding day, and again for the castle photos (having her come back was a last minute choice on my wedding day and she was SO accommodating!). I did my own makeup, but here are some hair pics:

After my trial she put my hair up so I could go out feeling pretty, but not with the same hair as for my wedding!

Another general question... does anyone reccomend getting their hair done at a beauty salon inside Disney, such as the Yacht Club Resort?

I was married May of last year at Sea Breeze Point. It was WONDERFUL! I spent the whole day laughing.

I felt beautiful that day, even though between school and working nearly full time I never did loose the weight I wanted to before the wedding. Thank you for the compliments, they brightened my day!
