In all of the parks and Downtown Disney what are the best and worse inexpensive restaurants. And I mean the ones you go in, order your food at the counter, get it, sit down, eat and leave. Also, let me know what you might have eatten that made it bad (I've noticed a lot of places I've eatten and liked others hated).

MGM has the worst selection of fast / sit down food. ABC comissionary is fine though!

;)
AKL has some real nice counter service food!

MGM-Backlot Express was pretty disgusting, the hot dogs were awful and we normally love each and every WDW hot dog! :)

ABC Commissary is good for the fish and chips and the air conditioning. :) We like to go to the stands on Sunset Blvd. for the chili dogs.

AK-Haven't tried anything bad here, but as far as looking bad, the pizza at Pizzafari looks (and smells!) kinda icky.

Tusker House is our absolute favorite place to eat. For breakfast don't miss the awesome potatoes. For lunch or dinner the salmon is great.

MK-Didn't like the cheesesteak sub at Cosmic Ray's. It needed LOTS of ketchup to be able to eat it!

There are lots of good places. We love the hot dogs at Caseys, the Figaro Fries at Pinnochio Village House, the fish at Colombia Harbor House, and the topping bar at Pecos Bill.

Epcot-I'm not crazy about the Chinese food at Lotus Blossom Cafe. Kind of average and greasy. The pastries at the cafe in France are just ok in my opinion.

I do like the food at the cantina in Mexico, the food at the yakitori house in Japan, and the fish and chips in England.

Downtown Disney-I'm not a big fan of Bongos takeout window. The food seems okay, but as I'm eating it, I always vow never to go there again!

I really like the food at Wolfgang Puck Express and the Cheesecake Factory inside Disney Quest.

MK- Pecos Bills for good BBQ and their 'fixins' bar, and Caseys for a super dog.

Epcot- Harry Ramsdens Fish n' Chips outside the Rose and Crown.

Animal Kingdom- Tusker House & The Flame Tree BBQ

MGM- Beats me, I have yet to find one. The Commisary was the singularly worst place that I've ever eaten at WDW.

THE BEST -

Pinocchio Village Haus in MK - definitely better burgers - at least WE think so!!!!

THE WORST -

ABC Commissary in MGM - yukky by anyone's standards!!!

In the MK, we like Cosmic Ray's. They have a lot of variety and a big topping bar.

In the AK, I did not like Restaurantosaurus. I wanted to get BBQ, DH wanted nothing to do with BBQ, so we chose Restaurantosaurus b/c they had ribs. Never again. I'm sure the McDonald's food they have there is fine, but I did not like the ribs.

Epcot: Electric Umbrella - had good cheeseburgers

Downtown Disney: Wolfgang Puck's - very good pizza

Sorry, I've havn't eaten at any of the counter service places at Magic Kingdom, MGM, or AK lately.

MK - We really like Pecos Bills. Not a large menu but what they do serve is hot and fresh. Large portions too. DH ordered us all an order of fries like he would at a fast food chain and even french fry loving family had WAY too many! We'll share orders next time.

AK - Pizzafari was ok. I had the Italian sandwich which sounded better than it tasted unfortunately. Not bad but not that good either. Pizza was decent. Lines were very long as was the wait time for food.

Restaurantaurus - I hate to sound so blah with my reviews but trying to be honest and this was mediocre too. They have McDonalds fries and chicken nuggets so my kids were happy but the non McDonalds food we tried (burgers and hot dogs) were just so so. Once again, large portions. DS and I could have easily shared a hot dog since it was HUGE.

MGM - Rosie's All Amercan Cafe. Great place to stop for a Coke or cold beer and a snack but burger there was NOT good.

Epcot - I've read a negative review here and there but we have always liked the food from the Cantina in Mexico. Give me a taco salad and a frozen margarita and sit me by the lake to gaze across the World Showcase and I am a happy camper! ;-)

Yakitori House in Japan - This was a find! Very quiet and peaceful and very good food. I'm not big on Oriental food but this was REALLY good!

Resorts

Wilderness Lodge - Roaring Forks. Again, your basic fast food but very good and always hot. We ate there several times when we've stayed there and then have been back since just to visit and grab a bite.

Mara at AKL - food was good and they offer a more varied menu than other counter services. Our bill seemed a bit high for lunch but in retrospect it was because they did offer a more varied menu. For instance my dd ordered the fried shrimp plate. Plus, since we weren't staying there and didn't have refillable mugs our drinks added up too.

MK - Pecos Bills and Cosmic Rays are the best and Pecos IMO serves the best burgers on property. Love the fixing stations at both.

MGM - I'm from the UK and I would say that the fish and chips in ABC Commisary are a sad excuse. I've had some other food here and quite honestly IMO it was awful. I like the Backlot Express.

EPCOT - Tangeriene Cafe at Morocco serves some good sandwiches. I like Lotus Blossom Cafe Combo meals. Electric Umbrella is also good. Can't say I've ever had any bad fast food here.

AK - Tusker House is great

DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express in the Market Place was really really good and the food was fresh. I'm also a fan of the food inside DisneyQuest.

I have to agree that for some reason, MGM has the worst restaurants. We eat at Pizza Planet just because of the Toy Story connection and nearby happenings, but I would never recommend it because of the food! I think the imagineers couls have done better in the decoration as well, if you didn't know the place was called Pizza Planet you probably couldn't tell inside!

Fish and chips in England is the best quick meal there is. Even the old cart has been replaced by a permenant structure. I really don't like fish sticks, but those are really, really, great.

MGM-I've only had Pizza Planet. It was unimpressive at best.
MK- Like Pecos Bill, Casey's. We used to like Columbia Harbor House, but the portions have become so small that it really isn't a good value any more.
AK- Tusker House
Epcot-I've never eaten fast food here, so I don't know.
Resorts- Beaches and Cream at BC, Roaring forks at WL, Gasparilla at GF and The Peppermarket at CSR are all very good.
Waterparks-I've never eaten at any of them
Downtown Disney- Wolfgang Pucks the chicken and pizzas are great and the portions are very "sharable".

AK- Tusker House would be my choice for best though I have always wanted to try Flame Tree. The only reason we haven't is because we go during the summer and BBQ is so heavy.

Studios- I have only eaten at the ABC Commissary, and it was only ok.

Epcot- Really like the Yakitori House in Japan. Did not like the Lotus Blossom Cafe in China, cold, greasy noodles.

MK- Seems to have the best fast food and variety. Like Cosmic Ray's for the variety, Pecos Bill's for the yummie toppings and Casey's Corner for the hot dogs. Pinocchio Village Haus would probally get my vote for worst, not because of the food (it was just ok), but because the place was crazy. Lots of kids screaming and running around and hard to find a table.

Contemporary- Their food court was very good. My DH had the Breakfast platter inwhich the eggs were freshly scrambled. Also we had a few other items during our stay and every thing was very fresh. Also they allowed me to substitute fruit for the fries which I really liked.

DD- I really like Wolfgang Puck Express for the different offerings.;)

Leaning Palms (Typhoon Lagoon)--not good. Avoid the burgers and kids hot dogs. Maybe just order the kid's grilled cheese pretzel meal for everyone. It was the only good thing out of 7 meals ordered.

Cantina in Mexico--inedible food.

Best counter service - Pirata y Perico in MK, Pizzafari in AK

I honestly haven't had any "worst" experiences with fast food at WDW. :D

MK: love the Caesar salad at Cosmic Rays and the entire atmosphere (as well as the hot dogs) at Casey's. Love to sit there and park watch!!

AK: Tusker House for the variety. Pizzafari for the quantity.

MGM: don't have a favorite

Epcot: Food court in the land had good variety, but we prefer to "snack around the world"

Yum!

Worst - ABC Commisary
We got a burger and fries and a chicken and rice dinner. Between the both of us all we ate were the fries. Plus, there were quite a few flies around our table. And, not only was the food bad, but we got pretty tired of all the ABC commercials playing.

Favorites - Pecos Bills in MK
Tusker House in AK
Tangeriene Cafe and most places in the Land in Epcot

In the magic kingdom my personal fav/dislikes are :favs diamond horseshoe saloon-fun and decent eats.worst is the starlight cafe.this to me is the jack in the box of disney.always kinda dirty and the help is not the freindliest bunch....but to their own defense it was late and i guess its hard to keep your disney cheer at the end of your shift.hard to realize sometimes that were on vacation and their not.:p

likes: pizzafari, pecos bill's, cheesecake factory express at dq, backlot express, columbia harbor house

dislikes: abc commisary - YUCK!
