Another vote for "To Love Somebody" . . . their best, in my opinion.

well I will admit to owning the Best of multi disc cd collection..... Every now and then I need a little - For so looooong... you and me been finding each other for so long...and the feeling that I feel for you is more than strong girl take it from me- If you give a little more than you're asking for you're love is all I need(now I don't know if that is the correct lyrics but that is how I always sang along)
Oh and I still remember my light blue satin jacket(I was in 7th grade I think?) And I thought I was HOT.

I opened the thread just to post that picture! That poster (well the full-length version) hung on my wall for a long time.

To Love Somebody is my second favorite Bee Gees song. #1 for me would have to be Words. Barry used to melt my heart with that one.
:faint:

Another fan here. I have the 2cd Hits collection and even like some of the newer stuff they put out in the 90's. I think they even had a hit with a song called "One".

I even like the stuff Barry did with Streisand. :scared1:

I agree. I was surprised to hear how many songs they (mainly Barry I think) had written for other artists.

That's what I'm talkin' bout. Before they decided to sing falsetto, I thought they were brilliant. I saw them perform with a string section around the time of "How Can You Mend...." and again during the height of the disco era.

For those so inclined, check out the Bee Gees album Odessa. It is pre-disco and the songs are fabulous. It was a double album (just one cd) and kind of like their White album ('cept it was red, and packaged in a velvet sleeve).:)

Magic 107.7 here in Orlando plays Andy Gibb songs regularly. At least 3 times this week alone I have heard "I just want to be your Everything" and I don't listen to the radio all day and night.

Did anyone notice that silly movie they made with Peter Frampton was on one of the movie channels this past week?

Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band? what a goofy movie, but Barry was lookin good.

I havent seen that in so so long and would have loved to! I have to see about getting that. It was corny but cool.:thumbsup2

Huge Bee Gees fan here, as well -- hence the screen name.

Micca, I have to agree with you, Odessa is my favorite album. Unfortunately, it is now quite expensive to buy. Word is the 2nd studio albums boxed set will include it. Can't wait, since my disk no longer plays.

The 1st of the studio albums boxed set is excellent. Take it with a grain of salt, though, as some of the never released songs are rough.

So glad to see a Bee Gees thread! :yay:
