Is anyone watching the Beatles documentary Get Back on Disney+? We’ve watched the first episode and loved it. It’s like watching history being made by our favourite band.
I love the Beatles, I wish I had Disney + so I could see it.
I've got the first episode on now. Just watching John Lennon makes me want to cry.
Agreed. I never knew he was such a goofball, which helped me relate to him so much more and I had the same thought as he was stolen far too early....
Honestly, I would order D+ for a couple months to watch it then. I'm not a big Beatles fan(I like all music genres) but like most of their stuff. While there are some slow points because of the general way it's filmed, watching songs like Get Back or Let it Be being birthed right before your eyes is mind-blowing. And the quality of the film is fairly stunning as well ...hard to imagine it was 60+ years ago.
The format is different. Much less of a documentary and more of just a free-for-all jam session.
All 3 parts are available. Can't WAIT for the next episode to release ...when is that anyway?
All 3 parts are available.
Each episode was released one at a time, Thursday to Saturday. So they should all be up. I was surprised how Paul (my favourite) was such a big part of the writing and directing. I always thought all the songs were a collaboration of Lennon/McCartney. But apparently that was their agreement. I read that John was so in love with Yoko at the time that he wasn’t as involved in that period. I am so impressed all these years later of their talent.
The Let It Be sessions were only 52 years ago. Part one did have footage from the early 60's which was amazing to see.hard to imagine it was 60+ years ago
Well at the beginning Lennon was more of the "creative director" but that eventually evolved into both Lennon and McCartney collaborating. McCartney controlling a lot of the direction of the album is not that surprising. A lot of his songs are on Let It Be and Abbey Road. Lennon was focusing more on solo projects and Yoko. Each episode was released one at a time, Thursday to Saturday. So they should all be up.
