The BALD and the BEAUTIFUL go to DIZZY world! 4/2 epcot!

I am so, so sorry to hear about your Grandma's dog. I know how hard that is. :sad1: I know that her dog will never be replaced, but I hope she does heal quickly and can make some wonderful memories with her new puppy.

Wonderful pictures! I would really like to go to AK for a full day and just explore everything. :)

So sorry to hear about your grandma's dog. I hope your grandma is coping alright.

It sounds like you had a lot of fun at Rafiki's planet watch! We went for the first time last trip but we weren't really crazy about it, we're actually thinking about skipping it this time. It is fun to meet Jimminy though...DS loved that as well. Was Rafiki not out? I think they normally have Jimminy Cricket, Rafiki, and Pochahontas.

I'm glad Reya enjoyed the "affection secion"!

I've never been on the Pangini Exploration Trail either, I'm definately planning on going this time! Great pictures!

Can't wait to hear more!

Thank you. She's coping pretty well thanks to her little puppy. I'm excited to meet him.

We did have fun, but I'm bummed we didn't get to meet Rafiki and Pochanontas. They wren't anywhere in sight. :(

I highly recommend the Pangini Trail... I love that we got to do a few new things while on our trip. There's so much we missed though at the same time. It's hard to cram so much stuff in an 8 hour period.

Sorry to hear about your grandma's dog hope her new puppy brings her lots of happiness :goodvibes

Pictures over at the conservation station look really good haven't ventured over for a while I'm sure our DD1 would love this.

Thank you... I bet your DD would love it. Especially if she loves animals like my DD does.

Thank you.

This was the first time that we REALLY enjoyed ourselves at AK. It's normally so hot and humid that we're sweating like pigs and we try to find shelter from the heat instead of really exploring. This one one of my favorite days on the trip. We missed a LOT too, there's just too much to do in an 8 hour period that it's impossible to do everything.

Once we were finished taking a nice stroll through the Pangani forest trail it was time for us to use our FP’s on Kilimanjaro Safaris.

Florida195.jpg

While we were waiting in line, an exhausted Jayden fell asleep in my arms. :faint: This was very common for him to do, poor baby missed out on so many rides because he was constantly sleeping.

Florida078-1.jpg

(I thought this sign was sorta funny…. I really felt like throwing Reya out to some of those animals earlier in the morning… j/k… or am I? ) :rolleyes1

Once we boarded our jeep I had to hand the camera over to DH because Jayden was sleeping. We normally do this ride first thing in the morning, so I was worried that most of the animals would be sleeping or hiding in the shade because of the warmer temperature and time of day. But luckily they were all out, except for the lions.

Florida083.jpg

Florida093.jpg

Reya really enjoyed seeing all the animals, and Jayden slept through the whole thing. I thought it was hilarious that he could sleep so well through the loud and extremely bumpy ride. :rotfl:

Florida090-1.jpg

Florida084-2.jpg

After Kilimanjaro Safari’s we headed towards It’s Tough to Be a Bug. On our way over the boys grabbed two personal sized pizzas from pizzafari for us all to share, ( since none of us had eaten.) We ate very quickly before we hopped in line. I’m not sure if this is a popular CS place and what other people think of the pizza there, but I thought it was pretty disgusting. :crazy2: I just ate a few bites, enough to make the empty feeling in my stomach go away.

There was NO line, just a long walk around the Tree of Life to get to the theatre. We were in a huge hurry because we wanted to catch the Lion King show afterwards. I would have liked to get some pictures of the Tree, but didn't have the time. :sad2: We picked up our bug eyes and waited inside the lobby for 5-10 minutes before we were let into the theatre. :3dglasses

Florida216.jpg

Florida217.jpg

Jayden was still asleep in my arms. (At this time I felt like my arms were going to fall off because I had been holding him for over an hour) :headache:

Once we were lead into the theatre I was furious at all the people who couldn’t listen to directions and move ALL the way down their to aisles to make room for everyone. This was an occurance that happened each and every time we set foot into a theatre on our trip. That was my biggest pet peeve on the trip and it became tiresome very quickly.:furious:

Besides the annoying, inconsiderate people I LOVE this show. :hyper: I think it’s one of my favorite attractions. (Definitely my favorite 3-d attracation) It’s so well done. Poor Reya became terrified of the cute little acid bug and was crying and cowering once he sprayed the audience. She hid her face in Marsha's chest for the rest of the show. Jayden slept through the whole thing, he only jumped a little when we got spayed. The screaming and loud special effects didn't effect him at all. That kid can sleep through anything.

After the show it was 4:15 PM and we REALLY wanted to see the last showing of The Lion King which was at 4:30. We tried high tailing it over to the theatre but were completely blocked by the parade that was going on. We panicked a little and had to find another way around, luckily we made it just in time. :yay:

Jayden had finally awoken once we sat down and was eager and screaming for his bottle. Marsha was kind enough to make his formula and to feed him as the show had began. Just so you all know, when Jayden is hungry he is the most impatient baby in the world. He doesn’t wait for anybody and will scream at the top of his lungs until you put that nipple in his mouth. :furious: Well once the show started he wanted NOTHING to do with that bottle. He kept pushing it away and was so wide eyed and in awe of all the sights and wonderful music that was going on around him. It was the cutest thing in the world looking at his face. I’ve never seen him react to anything the way he reacted to this show. It was definitely the highlight of his entire trip. I was crying tears of joy as I was listening to the music and seeing the enjoyment on my childrens faces. I got goose bumps during the entire show.

To be continued ………………………….

The safari pics are great - the alligators sure were out in full force! Don't you just love the Lion King show! It was so funny that when I was looking at your pics of the show, one of the songs from the show came on DIS Radio. How cute that Jayden took in all the sights and sounds :goodvibes

Great pictures of the safari, I'm glad that the animals were out in full force for you. I've never actually been first thing in the morning! Another trip, I suppose!

I'm afraid DS would be scared of ITTBAB too, but I think we're dragging him on our next trip. I've stayed away long enough, and I love the 3-D shows!

SO cute that Jayden loved Festival of the Lion king. I truly think it's the best show I've ever seen, and I'm glad he thinks so as well!

When we went over the bridge by the alligators, I found myself sqeezing onto Jayden just a little bit tired. I got a sick feeling in my stomach, like what would happen if we hit a bump and I accidently let go. ((Strange I know, but I was seriously scared))

I wish I would have gotten pictures of Jayden during the show. He was even dancing to the music a little. I LOVED it. Def. one of the favorite highlights of the trip. Everyone else loved it too. It was a first for Reya and DSIL and her fam.

Thank you... It's best to go in the morning before it gets too hot.

Usually it's Hopper that scares the little ones in ITTBAB, but nope it's the cute little acid bug that scares my DD. :rotfl: It def. can be a little frightening for little ones, I would consider skipping it for your sons sake. I love 3-d shows too. Not crazy about the Muppets 3-d anymore though.

I think LK is one of the best shows too.... and the music is so powerful. LOVE IT! ;)

thinking of you and all your family! sending prayers and thoughts your way. I missed it the first go around somehow. I hope you all are feeling better and your grandma's finding comfort in the memories she has.

Ak: Yay for Jimmy Cricket but especially since Reya was not afraid of him! :woohoo: Thanks for the info on the conservation station and Rafiki's Planet Watch. I don't think we will make them this go around but good to know nonetheless. :thumbsup2: We really enjoyed the forest trail on our last trip. I am really looking foward to FOTLK!!

I love that picture of all the kids and Jimminy. Too cute.

FOTLK is NOT to be missed. :sad2: I'm sad we missed Finding Nemo, that's also a great show.

I'm so sorry to hear about the troubles your family has been facing. I definitely know how your feeling as we've had deaths of two people close to us in the past week and it's not fun. Thoughts and prayers are headed your way! Another awesome update and it's so precious that Jayden was so enthralled with festival of the lion king. Can't wait to hear more and I love your twilight sig, that's awesome!

Loving all of your pics of AK! Reya is too cute being okay with Jiminy. And your nieces are adorable in their bug glasses. :goodvibes

So glad you made it to FOTLK and that Jayden was so mesmerized by it! That's the power of Disney! ;)

Hope everyone is doing better- glad to hear that grandma got a puppy! :lovestruc

Your report on AK is making us really look forward to our visit in July :goodvibes It will be hot hot hot but we will go early. We haven't watched any of the shows in a while so we will def do that now. Jayden is a wee star sleeping threw all that noise :thumbsup2 It would have been a lovely sight watching him at the lion king show  Well done reya on even entering ITTBAB :)

Is there another Twilight fan in my midst? I'm so excited for June. I saw my first preview of Eclipse when I was on vacation and got goose bumps.

I'm sorry about your recent troubles too.. Thoughts and prayers are being sent your way as well.

Thanks. I really wish I had more pictures of Jayden with the characters, but he was always sleeping. And I don't dare wake him, it's not a pretty sight.

I'm glad we made it to FOTLK too.... It really made the day even more special.

We're all doing a little better. I'm going to take the kids over to see the puppy sometime today or tomorrow. It's supposed to be almost 70 degrees today and snow tomorrow, so gotta do it now.

I'm glad you're getting excited about your upcomng trip. Yes, July is very HOT. We've been a couple times in the middle of summer, actually I got married there in June and that was almost miserable. Especially in a wedding dress. But at the same time I love it because everything is open much later and you're able to go back to the room in the middle of the day to cool off and relax.

I'm very impressed with how well jayden was with sleeping. He normally doesn't sleep that well when we're out and about so it was surprising.

Reya wasn't scared at all at first of the ITTBAB show until everyone started screaming because they were sprayed with water. lol. I think the reactions of all the people is what really effects her the most. So we would always try to downplay everything to help her not be scared. I'm still very proud of everything that she did while we were there. She conquered her fear a LOT.

After the AMAZING Festival of the Lion King was over it was closing time for AK. We headed towards the front gates with the rest of the crowd. :crowded: Along the way I snapped a few last minute pictures. I don't know when we'll have the pleasure of visiting Animal Kingdom again. But I know I can't wait until we do. We had a fabulous time and I was sad to say goodbye.

Once we got through the turnstiles we had noticed that the Rain Forest Café was till open. :yay: I hadn’t realized that they stayed open for a couple hours after the closing of AK, so we all agreed to have dinner there. ::yes:: I was SO happy because I was able to spend every second exploring AK and still got to eat at one of my favorite restaurants.

We were seated almost immediately. I ordered the same thing that I order every time I have the pleasure of eating at a RFC which is the Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes. I think it’s to die for and I was in HEAVEN. :cloud9: ((except for the achy feet)

Florida139.jpg

After we were finished with dinner the sun was setting and there were very few cars left in the parking lot.:woohoo: That was another plus of waiting to have dinner after the park closed, it was nice not having to contend with all the thousands of people leaving the park at the same time.

Once we arrived back at the hotel, DH and DBIL took the girls swimming. DSIL and I stayed behind for some peace and quite. We made ourselves a couple of yummy fruity cocktails, turned on the tv and watched 2 ½ men and How I met your Mother, and played my favorite game PHASE TEN before heading off to bed. :goodvibes

It was a REALLY great day. Awesome weather, great park, yummy food, and a nice relaxing night with my DSIL. Couldn’t get much better.

Woo-hoo!! Great updates! I was off the DIS for a couple of day and I come back to a whole day's worth of updates! Great ones, too! :thumbsup2

Your AK day looks great! I adore the Festival of the Lion king - something for everyone in that show! Great music, great dancing, acrobatics, aerial dance, stilts, fabulous costumes.....

That's great that you guys were able to get in at RFC for dinner. So Reya was not afraid of RFC like she was at Trex? That's good. I find RFC to be even louder than TRex, but I guess the animals aren't as scary!

Looking forward to reading more! popcorn::

Great update! I meant to tell you this awhile ago, but I love how you list everyone's favorites at the end of that particular day. :)

Thanks for the update. I started your TR yesterday. I told my husband and kids that I was having a virtual vacation and please don't disturb me. I read the whole thing in one sitting and was ready for more today!

I've never made it to FOTLK but it will be a must the next time we go. I loved the pics you had of Donald and the nephews hiking. I've never seen that. Where is it located?

I really miss WDW and it will probably be another year or two before we can make it back. Your TR takes me right along!!!!!

Great update! I actually laughed out loud when I saw the :crowded: icon as your description for leaving the park. That's SO true!

I'm so glad you got to eat at rainforest cafe! Plus, no rush of cars leaving the parking lot? It was your lucky day! Did everyone else enjoy the rainforest cafe? Or were you enjoying yourself so much you didn't notice? ;)

Man, at disney, peace and quiet, AND 2 1/2 men and How I met your mother? I think you just described my perfect evening! :woohoo:

Great update!

Welcome back!

Reya used to be terrified of RFC. The last time we were there when she was 18 months old I had to hold her the entire meal because she was so scared of the loud noises and thunderstorm. But she did very well this time around. She just colored and sorta ignorned everything around her. Well, everything except a gorilla that was sitting near our table. She insisted that he was staring her down and was constantly looking over her shoulder to make sure he wasn't up to no good. :rotfl: I really liked the trex, but if I ever go again I'm going to ask NOT to be seated in the Ice Cave. I thought the changing lights were really annoying and hurt my eyes.

I'm hoping to have another update up tonight. I just got back taking the kids to the park. It's 70 here today and snow tomorrow, so had to get out enjoy the weather today.

Thank you and welcome! I love when new people chime in. I'm so glad you're enjoying, that brings a smile to my face.

You MUST see FOTLK next time you visit, it's amazing. I took the pictures of Daisy and the nephews near the FOTLK theatre. Same with the one with Mickey fishing.

Thanks for reading. :)

That's the only thing I hate about leaving the parks when they close, the crowds are insane. Glad you got a kick out of it.

I think it's funny because everyone goes to the RFC just for me. Everyone else would be happy to skip it, but they know how much I love the Chicken Fried Chicken and how I have to eat at a RFC whenever we're anywhere near one. ((we don't have any in colorado, we used to many years back)) So I'm glad to have such a nice family who is willing to indulge me. :)

It was a lovely evening. Actually the day was near perfect. Only thing that would have been better is if I would have gotten a chance to use that Jacuzzi. ((Will i ever get too?!)):confused3
