Twas’ just before Christmas on the DIS I did share
The Bad Poet’s trip plans – the kids’ unaware.
To visit the grandparents was our first stop,
But then off to Disneyworld we would soon hop.

The kids in the car, all snuggled and shoeless,
I took I-10 East and not West – they were clueless!
We drove for 6 hours and I said, “Feast your eyes!”
We are entering Disneyworld!” Oh what a surprise!

We checked in our room and then hopped on a bus.
The Magic Kingdom would enchant all of us.
The lights and decorations, Wishes fireworks show.
The goosebumps on Main Street as it started to snow.

The rest of the trip was so full of sensations,
The Candelight Processional followed by Illuminations.
Castmembers, characters dancing and singing.
Our eyes filled with magic, our joy-filled ears ringing.

One last stroll through the snow on Main Street.
So lucky I felt, now our trip is complete.
As we took one last look, I whistled a tune.
This isn’t good bye, rather “See you real soon!”

In just a few weeks we’ll be back, you see.
This time for a week at our home, BCV!
That’s all from the Bad Poet – at least until then,
When perhaps during Mardi Gras he’ll pick up his pen.

Clap clap clap clap

Good Job!! Loved the poem!

At first wondered how you had gotten to Orlando from NO in 6 hours (maybe it was reindeer!) but then realized you said you had gone to Grandma's first. What a great surprise!
Did you miss the real snow in NO?
I'm from BR and we didn't get any snow, just a few sleet pellets.

Glad you had a great time. Enjoy your Mardi Gras trip as well. We'll be back in May.

Did you miss the real snow in NO?

I was wondering the same thing. As much as we love Disney my kids (and me) would have been devastated if they would have missed the once in a lifetime Christmas snow.

I love your poem! Glad you had a great trip.

Glad y'all enjoyed it. I had to get it out of my head so I could get some work done!

LSUTigger, we went to Ft. Walton Beach to visit the grandparents first. We drove to WDW Sunday and were home Wednesday night, so we did see the snow. That was the first real snow my kids have seen, although I prefer the Disney type better. Looking forward to 70 degrees again this week!

Hope everyone has a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year, with lots of Disney magic thrown in!!!
