My kids are 18 and 22. Every once in a while, DD18 will tease me about what a bad mommy I've been since I never bought her the Barbie Dream Boat she wanted when she was 5 or 6. :rotfl2:

I know the rest of you have disappointed your kids too. What makes you a bad mommy or daddy?

Hehehe, my dd is 26 and she has never gotten over not getting that easy bake oven, I hear about it almost every single Christmas...one of these days I'm going to buy her one just as a joke to shut her up. :lmao:

my mom apologizes for not buying me Flexi-Blocks when i was younger.

i'm 23 now...the teenage years were rough, but now things are great, so we joke that, maybe if she had just bought me the darn flexiblocks...:lmao:

My son wrote a play about medieval knights when he was about 8 or 9. His grandmother made costumes, we painted background sets and his cousins all agreed to take part in his production. The whole thing was nearly bigger than Ben Hur.
Hubby and I refused his request for 2 horses so that there could be jousting in the backyard. :rotfl: He was one very upset little man!!!!

We are horrible parents;)
He did eventually take up horse riding but has yet to achieve his dream of wacking someone with a stick on the back of a horse.

I used to always complain that I never got one either and then two Christmas' ago my Mom friend got me one and it was so funny. Now I tease my mom that "Auntie" Connie is my favorite Mommy.

My dd 17 has wanted an Easy Bake oven for years. I could have sworn I bought her one when it was 'age appropriate' like in 3rd grade. She swears I never did..it was someone else. I guess with 2 sisters it IS a possibility she fell through the cracks but....

Anyway, this year she gets an easy bake. I can't take another day talking about it!
