The Bachelor 17 Sean Lowe NO SPOILERS

Catherine should have left too, on her own. Seriously girl, he's not sure which one of you to 'keep?' Run!!!

That's what I thought too! If it took you that long to figure out if you want me around, then I'll just leave on my own.

Of course the family comes as part of the package but the guy called him out on his integrity and character as if it was a legitimate judgement to make after knowing him for an hour.

...dude probably called him what he HIMSELF is.....

i missed the first hometown. i could barely hear the second one, thanks to my loud children.

did i miss anything good?

WHY again are they having "Sean tells all" tomorrow? is there not a finale next week? i am so confused.

:confused3 .....most dramatic episode EVER.

Yep and when she said in the limo that she doesn't know what she will do with her life now???

.....sell more gridal gowns to remind her of her broken heart and getting dumped on national tv....

That was painful to watch. I really feel like none of them are right for him. I've read the spoiler and I won't ruin it, but there are issues with all 3 of the remaining girls. AshLee is clingy, Catherine doesn't seem quite ready to be engaged, and Lindsey seems immature. I can't see it lasting with anyone.

....which is what I said two weeks ago...that's what I think, anyhoo.

That brother was a real piece of work, and the passive aggressive way the family dealt with it by changing the subject and let's talk about the weather would have me running too.

I will start by saying that I see a lot of that situation as TOTALLY scripted... But, if there was one tiny bit of truth in what they showed...

EXACTLY!!!!! BTDT.....
This hit the nail on the head.

There can easily be a 'Jerk' in any family....
That alone did not derail it....
The brother did not derail it....

It was the families reaction and the fact that they gave him that power... THAT is what derailed it.

That brother should have been completely excluded that day.
Or, been shown the door, right away...
As in, "Shut up, or you need to leave, now..."

In fact, here is an incredible story...
Like I said, BTDT... my FIL was the 'jerk'. DH was born and raised to see him as god, and did not even see the reality.

(note: I met DH while his parents still lived out of State, and didn't really get to know them and see the truth until we were already engaged.)

So, like I just mentioned, BTDT...
The last time I ever spoke to FIL was when he was all derogatory and got in my face and verbally assaulted me, right in front of our son who was 6 years old at the time.... DH said nothing... the whole reaction was the passive-aggressive, sweep it under the rug, thing. Like, hey, that's just the way it is. That is the kicker.... That is the real issue.

I realized THAT VERY DAY, that in situations like this... there are no 'inlaw problems'... only marriage problems....

OKAY.... so here is the rest of the story....
My DH happened to be sitting there watching this last night, and was like "Why would they let the brother do that?"

OMG, What a freakin' epiphany!!!!

My jaw hit the floor.
DH, honestly, was not realizing that he did that EXACT same thing, letting his dad be verbally derogatory and negative in exactly that same way!!!!
To ME, his wife...

I was like, "What.... ummm, like I haven't been in that situation...."

It was like that finally got in there somewhere and hit him between the eyes.... He got REALLY quiet... Just kind of stared down...

OMG!!!

Catherine should have left too, on her own. Seriously girl, he's not sure which one of you to 'keep?' Run!!!

....when he was unsure with that third rose in his hand, and he momentarily put it down, I thought he was gonna get rid of BOTH of them.....THAT would have been even better.....

....when he was unsure with that third rose in his hand, and he momentarily put it down, I thought he was gonna get rid of BOTH of them.....THAT would have been even better.....

That is exactly what I was thinking!!!!

Like, why lead two of the girls on, when I am not sure that I see them as my future wife, because of the issues that cropped up....

But, again.... Anyone who doesn't see that this show is heavily scripted... ;)

They need the drama...

I guess I'm the only one who still loves Sean. He has not made any significant mistakes yet, at least not as far as The Bachelor goes. I think he does have a very set idea of what he is looking for and it should be his perorgative to find the best match.

I still like him too. He knows exactly what he's looking for in a woman and seems to be taking this process seriously.

I sort of dread he is going to pick Lindsay when I want him to pick Catherine. So she isn't ready yet. I think that is probably a good thing? How many of these couples get engaged and then go live in the real world and find out it isn't working? Best they decide to make a go of it in the real world and see if it works. I can see Lindsay accepting a proposal and I don't think she has any real depth. I think Sean does, he seems like an introspective guy to me.

I wasn't a huge Lindsay fan because they haven't really shown that much of her to be honest. It was all Tierra for the most part of the show.:crazy2: After last night, I think he and Lindsay seem the most comfortable together and have the same ideals. Sean wants a woman who is ready NOW to get married and have kids. Lindsay fits that mold, Catherine does not unfortunately. I see Catherine as more of a "hey, this is my hot boyfriend and we have lots of fun together but I don't know if it will work out or not, oh well". With Lindsay, she appears ready for it all. But God knows I've said this every stupid season.:lmao:

I really worry about Ashley. I think she loves him a lot more than he does her and it's not going to be pretty when she gets let go.

I do too. She has real abandonment issues, serious ones. Why she thought going on the Bachelor was the way to go makes no sense. And why her parents sanctioned it too is even more bizarre. Last night she said she "needs" this work with Sean. That's not how true love works. Poor Ashlee, I don't see Sean choosing her in the end and I foresee a total mental breakdown for her.

I liked Des, but didn't think she was exactly right for Sean. My favorites were Leslie and Catherine almost from the beginning so I'm pulling for Catherine.

From the beginning Des annoyed me. She was so certain Sean was "hers". I'm glad she's gone, she and her crazy dominating brother with bad manners.:wave2:

....I like her 'realness', but my fave was Leslie - I really think SHE had it all, looks, brains, a sense of being 'grounded', no apparent 'abandonment' issues, etc....

i thought that's what he was going to do too!

and i agree with the PP who said Catherine should've left too. based on when he said he was unsure about both of them, i'm assuming she's next? i really think he needs to send AshLee home though. she is WAY too clingy. she needs someone to "save" her. i think that would be a bit too much for Sean to handle--he doesn't seem the type (at least, to me).

Ashlee latched on to Sean almost immediately. I'm just waiting for a boiled bunny to appear...;) She is very clingy and needs him in a way that is unhealthy. I agree, she needs someone to save her and I don't believe it would matter who the Bachelor is. "I'm in love with______" (insert bachelor name in here). She wants to make it work rather than letting it work naturally. And you're right, Sean doesn't seem like he wants that. The beginning of a relationship shouldn't be fraught with emotional issues, those come later!

Thank you! That is exactly my thoughts. She said tonight that she "needs" it work with Sean. Very sad.
I cringed at that...she is a desperate girl and I hate to think of what will happen if/when he dumps her.

going on the bachelorette and the bachelor is enough for me to know about his integrity and character!!

Hi, all! Don't forget extra episode TONIGHT at 9:00, "Sean Tells All".
can't wait!

What was up with the dinner at AshLee's? Did they drag a table out into the middle of their back yard? and they didn't go in the house at all??

I thought the dinner at Des house was also weird....when the brother pulled Sean aside to have "the talk" aka "beat down" their plates were full of food still.:confused3 And when Sean got up to leave all the food was STILL on the plate!:confused3 some bad editing going on???

i noticed the same thing. he left and none of them had eaten!

AshLee seems to think if she acts broken enough, Sean won't have the heart to dump her.

She needs to learn that a person won't stay with you because you need them. They stay because THEY need YOU (with a few exceptions of course).

I know a few desperate clingy women that need to learn that lesson. Catherine seems to have it down.

I also think he should have left Ashlee go last night......it's mean to string her on the way he is....she is just to needy for him and I think he knows it.

Wedding Dress girl......I like her, liked her family, but I'm just wondering after the editing we all know is going on, are they trying to make us think it's HER.

I found it strange that he TOLD us WHO the bottom two girl where last night........another ploy for us to "think" it's Wedding Dress girl???? I don't recall them ever telling us who he was thinking of sending home.

My guess......he will send home Wedding Dress girl......then it will be a BIG SHOCKER for us to all want to watch to see how Catherin NOW became a front runner when she almost got the boot last night!!!

Ashlee scares me. She seems so insecure, especially for a grown woman her age. I would be afraid to get into a relationship with somebody so needy and fragile sounding.

Not sure why they were eating in the middle of the yard?

As for Des' brother. That was so strange. If she knew what a dumbazz her brother was why would he be invited and why wouldn't he be asked to leave since he was so rude? Lets talk about the weather instead.

What was with the stage five clinger when she was escorted to the limo? I was waiting for her to grab his leg.

None of those women are right for him....not sure what right for him would be but the choices that are left are pretty lame. I'm not seeing any chemistry with any of them but I find Sean to be boring.
