Tony ( Tony64) 41 Driver and runner to Fast Pass Machines
Theresa ( Latte Lover) 39(again) Chief organiser and banker
Maddie 16 Firmly believes everything dad says is stupid
Callum 15 would prefer to be playing in his band(but loves cat in the hat)
Saturday 20th August
Got up late today and went for a Breakfast, after having no tea yesterday (My own fault for being Mr. Grumpy)
We had a feeling of déjà vu as all the restaurants serving breakfast on the 192 had queues going out of the door again.
We decided to go to Celebration and have a look around the shops there.
We found a really nice restaurant that had something different on the menu for a change.
Theresa and Callum had Grilled cheese and ham sandwiches with fries and I had a Scrambled egg and bacon sandwich with fries but Good old Maddie stuck with the Burger.
This was a very nice meal which we gave a 8/10, none of us could eat it all. It came to $43 Plus tip but was definitely worth it.
We had a stroll around some of the shops but they were mainly full of expensive knickknacks that our grandparents would be more likely to buy.
We headed for the Nike outlet on the 192 and picked up a couple of pairs of trainers for Maddie as she will be starting college in September and will not have to wear the mandatory school shoes any more. She was a little upset about going on holiday as her results are due to arrive while we are away. She would get a little uptight whenever she remembered this but Disney is a great place to be to forget your worries. (A Kuna Matata).
We stopped for Ice cream at Dunkin Donuts. They have just so many to choose from; I had Honey while Theresa tried Nutty Coconut and the kids had Cookie Dough. Yummeeee.
We went back to the hotel and cooled off in the room and watched a film ( I cant remember anything about it now but it passed the time until it was time to go to the Dixie Stampede.
I had booked this through Orlando Ticket deals and we had got a great deal - £17 per head with a free drink in a souvenir boot shaped glass, Roasted peanuts in the shells, a flag, a souvenir photo and a 20% discount voucher for the gift shop each.
Now have you ever had one of those trips where you know that nobody else really wants to be there?
Well this was one of those.
Theresa went along with an open mind but the children, particularly Callum let me know that this was not for them and there was no way they where going to enjoy this and intended to be bored all evening.
Well I must say that despite such a hostile jury we all did have a good time.
The food was by far the best of any of the shows we have been to and the events in the ring where fun too, they had horse races, pig races and even Ostrich races!
We were cheering for the North but the South won on this occasion.
I think the Southern belle really fancied me (must be the Hugh Grant accent) but obviously Theresa made it quite clear this hunk was spoken for. ( Theresas comment to this:
)
When we came out it was raining hard so we headed for home.
