The average person spends $77....

I guess we're above average (on spending, of course ;) ) because DH bought me a new coffee table for the living room. I bought him some DVDs. I'll pick up chocolate dipped strawberries tomorrow for everyone.

Total household expenditures were under $20. That included treats/books for all the kids in both the boys classes, cards for everyone in the house, a bottle of wine for DH (and I) and balloons for the kids. I am also giving the kids a couple things that I had put away from clearance sales or left over from overbuying for other holidays :rotfl2:

Below average. Total amount spent this year? About $4. There was a store selling the standard 32 pack of V-Day cards the kids give out, at 50% off--3 of my kids needed them for school. That's it around here. :rotfl: I don't think DH has ever given me anything for Valentine's Day; some years it bugs me, other years not so much. I haven't decided yet whether it's one of those years or the other though. :lmao:

I'm way below. DS is too old for the valentine card thing and he just had a birthday so he has enough new stuff. DH hasn't bothered with this day in years so I stopped too.

I guess that my amount will be $0.

Evidently I am way below average since I haven't bought the first thing for Valentines Day. Ok I take that back. I did have to buy Valentines for the kids to pass out at school. I will pick up their favorite candies to give them after school tomorrow. We just bought a house and haven't sold this one yet so money is tight. DH and I normally don't buy gifts anyway. Just another Hallmark holiday.

I got DH xm radio so we are way over. I also got him a card and a rose. I plan to leave the card and flower in his car and give him the radio when he comes home. He isn't expecting anything and I am so excited about this gift I am about to burst.

Above average for sure. This year I spent about $100 on DH & about $50 on DD. Then cards & candy for my parents & my employees. So total I probably spent around $170.

ummmm....$2.50 for the card and 3.99 for a small box of candy so below avg this year. I felt kind of bad that I forgot to send DD something at school but she never checks her mail box anyway. My friend who is on her 3rd college kid says they dont care anyway.

Below average this year for my husband. With the card, gift bag and gift (parts for his paintball guns-very romantic :teeth: ) I spent about $45. He got way, way too much at Christmas. Valentines Day is also my birthday so I know he spent above average on me.
