the autograph pages thread - just for MAC!!

Thanks Kate. I'll remember that when I'm printing them. I appreciate you warning me. I'd hate to get there and be disappointed.

In some cases, I might use the page as a border for my scrapbook instead of an autograph page. I'll just cut the middle out. I went overboard a little when I was designing them because I'd see a quote or picture I liked and would make the page without looking to see if I would find them for an autograph. I also might use them to send postcards to my neice & nephew.

All of your pages are just fabulous! There is absolutely no reason why I shouldn't get my act together and get these autograph pages done. My mom owns a scrapbook store, and she's bought me every imaginable tool, plus I've bought tons of disney books, stamps, stickers etc. and what I don't have, she has for me to use. They are sitting in piles in my office at home. EK has a black scrapbook -- 8x8 that has an abstract of Mickey on the front.

I think I'll put my fear of failing behind me, download PhotoImpact, and get going. Thanks for the inspiration, everyone!

OK. I need help from my creative friends. What should I put on Pal Mickey's autograph pages? I want to have lots of pages for his Disney friends as well as all his DDA friends that he is going to meet in his travels. I'm going to make them 6x4 so they fit in a photo album that I've already bought from the Dollar Tree. I'm thinking something like "Pal Mickey's Disney & DDA Friends" with 2006 in a corner. What do you think? Should I add anything else or leave them with just the wording.

I would leave most pages completely blank. There are a lot of creative people that will be visiting with Pal Mickey and I bet you will get a lot of really cool pages from the individual families. JMO.

Cool!!!! I had never thought about that. I think you are right!!! What if I just cut up 6x4 heavy colored scrapbook paper and leave it blank?

I think that is the best idea. It will be interesting to see the pages that come back. Those will be so special.

This is a wonderful site and I'll have to get a better autograph book ready for the trip in August. The past two years I have done autograph books but only the cover was creative, now I have some really good ideas. Thanks everyone.

Wow! What a terrific idea!! I am going to try to get special Star Wars character pages together before the 18th. I found a small (9x7) spiral scrapbook with craft paper covers that I was going to bring as the Star Wars autograph book, but now I think I'll make the pages and scrap them in alphabetically later.

Question: Do you print out the autograph pages on computer paper or on scrapbook cardstock?

Thanks again for the terrific idea!!

I use the scrapbook cardstock. They keep better when you are transporting them around.

Oh my, I seem to be unable to print onto the cardstock. I have reset the settings on the printer to heavyweight paper and adjusted the size but the cardstock doesn't go in straight and there is no printing on it. The layout prints fine with regular printer paper. Hmmm... any suggestions?
Maybe I'll have to print it out on thinner scrapbook paper and put them on a clipboard before having them signed.

This is what I came up with for Star Wars Weekend:

I've got a dumb question, but where are you guys getting the disney font to print your kid's names on the pages? Do you have to buy a program or did you download it somewhere?

the awesome thing about these it that the characters then know my kids names and it is pretty easy to keep track of whose autographs we still need

it is funny when we see a character multiple times and they have already signed - they always seem a little disappointed they don't get to sign!! We get comments from the CM's, the characters, other guests and Julia looks at her books ALL the time - I use them as her trip scrapbook and it is just perfect!!!!

For our quick 4 day trip in May - instead of making the 6x6 pages - I went ahead and made them 4x6 - then I bought her the Happiest Celebration on Earth Princess album and put the cards in before the pictures of the character - again s he loves this book and looks at it all the time - if you think you are not inclined to scrapbook the pictures when you get home - I think this is a great option!!!!!

to make the 6x6 cards - I buy a pack of 12x12 cardstock at Michaels - i wait until they are sale or use the 40% off coupon and then I cut them into 4 6x6 squares.

I have the characters in a word table so then I make a mail merge document and get my words organized - then i merge them into a new document and go through and make sure they are all on the page - the size of the character sometimes causes the words to fall onto the next page and I make any necessary adjustments and then print -

I take a small clipboard that costs less than $1 at the office supplies stores and a bunch of sharpies (Julia and I like to coordinate the character to the color of their outfit - except princesses have to be pink or purple - for example peter pan signs in green - so we always buy the mega pack!!!) and put them in a ziploc baggie - then at night we do take out the ones we already had signed so we don't keep carrying them throughout the week - i also always print blank ones - there always seems to be a rare character we forgot to put in around or thie time the mickey one got wet and we had to have him sign a blank page

feel free to ask questions -

kate

I was unable to print directly onto the cardstock also so I printed them all out on regular paper and then copied them onto the cardstock. I had access to a large copy machine and it had no problem picking up the heavier cardstock and the autograph pages turned out great. Just a thought....

Ohhh, that's a great idea. Thanks!! Since I've already finished SWW I will keep that in mind for our upcoming Thanksgiving/Christmas trip.

Hi Everyone! We're going in 15 days  and today I decide that I want to put an autograph book together for DS pirate: . I am using the lovely and gracious RosieJo's :worship: Autograph pages and came here for some advice. DS WORSHIPS Captain Jack Sparrow pirate: - does anyone know where I can get an autograph page for him? It is really going to be the highlight of his book. I will try my uncoordinated, unloved, untalented, lame left hand at it if need be :teeth: ;) :rotfl2: , but thought I would ask you kind folks first. Thanks in advance for any replies! :thanks:

I did this one for my son, but CANNOT take credit for it - I used a frame from the photo frame thread (I'm sorry, I can't remember who originally did it) and embellished on it.............so I hope this is OK! :)

I had heard that you can't get Jack's autograph. I just wanted to warn you in case it is true. I see that someone designed a page for you.
