Here's a daft Question thats been bothering :scratchin me thought someone might know.

The Aristocats is my favourite disney film :cat: . Why is there no mention of it in DLRP? With it set in Paris I thought there would be something.....
Anybody know?????

:cheer2: Thanks :cheer2:

PS Hope I've Done this thread right first timer......

Couldn't agree with you more Annie. Can't understand why they don't make a big thing of it. My youngest DD is 9 and it's one of her fave films too. There were lots of different size Marie cuddly toys there at Christmas and she is saving her pocket money up to buy one in the summer. :)

YEAH!!! Especially when I told them I have the perfect dance number for
"Everybody wants to be a Cat"

But what do I know. I'm a "minor" Disney Character.

my daughter LOVES the aristocats..its your favourite film and everyone whats to be a cat is hef favourite song ever....It is a shame they is not aristocats at dlrp.

I've no idea why on 5 visits have never seen Aristocats mentioned

Only ever seen the soft toys

My daughter is a Marie fan and was pleased with the Marie merchandise that she had not seen before.

I tend to feel the same way re Beauty and the Beast. I know the tale's origins are ancient but they used the classic French version for the Disney film - you'd have thought they would have done a bit more wouldn't you.

I always thought that they was plenty of beauty and the beast.. especially at christmas when there is belles christmas village and her show.
We have a lovely picture of my daughter in front of the palace with belle and a picture of us with beast.

My daughter and I too love the aristocats. She is named after the Duchess, Madelane and I love the scene when the kittens are playing the piano. Also love the Rescuers!!

I'm hoping to see this one when I go. The rest of the year there seems little mention though. I know they appear in the parade but there's nothing in any of the shops much - especially in relation to The Beast.

There was a B&B ride planned in the original DLP plans, but it never got built

I'm really hoping that Belle's Village will be open when I'm there 10/11th November - everything I've read indicates I might be lucky but who knows.

Actually, thinking of French based films not represented at DLP there's another one - Hunchback of Notre Dame is not anywhere to be seen if memory serves. :confused3

yes..that is a bit odd especially with the Notre Dame being so near. I did see Esmeralda once at the castle and also the bad guy in it..can not remember his name..Its not one of our most watched DVDs.. when we saw the real notre dame my Daughter did not recognize it..

We have always wondered why there is no Aristocats or Lady & the Tramp at Disneyland (CA) For that matter, why doesn't the river boat have the characters from Jungle Book? We look forward to going to DLP and would love to see that addition! I'm curious for those of you who have been to DLP, Is the language spoken throughout the park and resort English or French or both????

Most of the cast memebers speak English. Some of the attractions are in French however it not really a problem.. most people know the story of pinocchio, snow white etc, others are in both and sometimes there are headphones for some shows so you can listen in your own language.
