****The April 2015 thread**** come check in and chat!

I'm like TattyLou - many WDW trips but Disneyland only 2 times pre-kids now we're taking them:) Does anyone else in this April group think there are a lot of ride closures, etc. for this time?

Just curious how you found your DVC points to rent. I looked on a couple of websites that do that and it's still kinda pricey at like $14 per point? Feel free to private message me with any info. Thanks!!

We also rented DVC points to stay at GC I think we paid $11 or $12 a point but for us it is really about having the 1-bedroom with kitchenette, Disney themeing and early entry - if I can figure out how that works. Since we're going only 5 nights we wanted to make the most of it. We've traveled several times to WDW and stayed off site but a car seems like less hassle there. We now have 3 kids 6 and under so convenience is key:) So excited for your trip.

There do seem to be a lot of ride closures/refurbs going on but I'm sure it because they are getting for the big 60th anniversary celebration. I'm most bummed about Soarin' being closed for refurb :( but I've been on it both at DL and DW so it's ok. Last time we were at DL in Feb. 2 years ago Splash Mtn, IASW, BTMRR and a few others were closed for refurb and it actually ended up being fine. There is so much to do we barely missed not getting to do them.

April 19-24 for us :yay: Staying at GC....DVC owner here.
Haven't been on over a year (2014 was a WDW year)

I have the same doubts. First and probably one of few times of my life to be at Disneyland! Hope to enjoy !!

We went to Disneyland for the first time last spring and there were so many refurbs. I was disappointed because this was going to be our first and only trip to Disneyland. It honestly didn't affect our trip. We were so focused on what we could do we never felt we were missing out. We loved it so much when we got home and started talking about our next vacation we both decided to head back! Soak it all in, enjoy all the details and you'll have a great time.

I saw another thread on here that said the castle is under refurb until March, but might not be unveiled until May. I hope that is not accurate b/c I want to "really" see the castle and walk through!! I'm disappointed the Matterhorn won't be open since that is unique to DL. I know we will still have a blast though.

84 days!!!

Just bought our flights last night so guess it is officially. We will be there March 31st thru April 4th. The kids are bringing friends and DH is working so it will be just me with 4 kids! :crowded:

Worried about the refurbs in the castle :sad2:

I just saw pictures of the castle all tarped for the 50th anniversary, very worried if it looks the same when i visit. I could also visit Disneyland at the end of may , beg of june , now i see it would have been a better time :( I just did not know
