The Apprentice- Martha Stewart

I think Martha plays by her own rules and I do not like it one bit.

Trump allows his applicants to make their beds and then lie in it if necessary! He kept Chris around for a while with his hot temper (and chewin' tobaccy that he did ditch)....to see if he was made of something!

I don't fault Martha for keeping Jim--but PUH-LEASE!!! Just she expect us to believe her salad making "video" was really a teleconference! Trump has much more respect for his employees!

The more I think about it--the show is just an avenue for her...get her name back out..reemphasize the importance of her company...etc etc. It is just too obvious!

Trump is the same--but he has never left video instructions for his applicants. She was makin' a freakin' salad! Ummm, hello---I'm sure it wasn't due that day Miss Martha Smarty Pants! You couldn't get that done at 3am?????

I'm only watching to see if it will improve, but I doubt it!

Either noone will get hired--or the one who is will not have their contract renewed.

And I'm so glad the smuggy natural chef's team lost. I felt she was a bit cocky and while her recipe didn't lose the challenge....I felt the urge to laugh at her expense.

I think Martha liked the Asian dressing better---why else emphasize that it was a sales problem. (What about the sales stuffer lady, stuffing bottles in people's carts??)

I'm just not feeling this show anymore.

I have a feeling that she did the video thing because she was still under house arrest at the time so her time out in the world was limited.

Ithink the right person went home. If you can't control the missle, what good are you. He probably won't last much longer though.

That would explain why she hardly ever does anything with anyone.

But still--her house arrest allowed business and she had been meeting up with them every week up to this point. Everything is filmed chronologically.

(She mentioned on her talk show how a guest was a chef at a fabulous restuarant--she had been, but only for a meeting--she wasn't allowed to dine there).

I actually bought the Rosemary Lime Vinaigrette dressing today at the store. It is really good. It was in a special display of limited edition "Apprentice" salad dressings, but the other Apprentice dressing was a Cranberry Walnut. I thought on the show it was an Asian Vinaigrette? I was totally confused.

By the way, I only paid $2.00. They were on sale. :)

I was glad that Marcellas dressing sold more then Bethanys. I didn't like her rude comments "Marcellas doesn't have a chance against me, I will run circles around her" or something like that.

Hate the cigar man. And Alexis is annoying too. George and Carolyn are much better.

I like Howie

I just saw the episode too. I am also happy that Marcella's dressing sold more. I also agree with Martha's decision. Team or no team, the PM should have sent Jim home, long before the customer complained.

The problem with keeping Jim is that it will just inflate his ego even more. If he had been in Trump's boardroom I don't think he would still be there. Especially after the comment of "when she looks in the mirror she sees me" or something like that. Yes i think they are keeping him around for entertainment value and he's going to be shocked on the day they let him go.

Wow--this was NOT a pretty show tonight!

The one team was AWESOME. The other team--very scary performance. YIKES!

The double "toss" was well deserved.

It was a train wreck, it gave me the shivers just watching it. Although the outcome wasn't a surprise, the firings were well deserved.

I like Howie and the other boy, can't think of his name, the one from Matchstick who dressed up as Tide-to-go Joe. :wizard:

My problem with the episode this week was that the commercials ruined this one. The commercials said that two people were going home. The whole episode was set up to showcase the poor workmanship of two people. There was ZERO surprise throughout the whole episode. The episode was pretty much ruined because of it.

Very disappointing.

That being said, they both deserved to go home, but the commercials shouldn't have telegraphed the double firing.

I hadn't even noticed any commercials. Then again--I don't watch NBC until Martha on Wednesday anyway. That's too bad!

I loved the fact that Jim was singled out as the strongest for that task and sent back to the suite!

Will next week be the last of Jim?

He's actually done well on the last 2 tasks despite his fingernails-on-blackboard personality.

He was very right about "accounting lady" and "no-leadership" lady tonight.

As an accountant myself there are times you have to avoid paralysis by analysis and actually do the money-making task!

Add: I can't imagine Martha keeping him to the end as her final pick. :rotfl:

I was embarrassed for the losing team- I mean, they looked like a Tide commercial on crack!

Well there's a theme with promise :earboy2: .

Well at least Jim and what's her face actually called and got entertainment. Had they not done at least that (I don't recall it coming up during the "quiet" brainstorming session)...they had absolutely NOTHING.

I didn't quite understand the silliness on the truck though. I thought they hired performers. If they hired a rapper--it would have been far less painful. (I know they were trying--but the chant would have been slightly better if a "pro" was doing it).

I didn't know 2 people were going to be sent home. I don't disagree with Martha's choices, but after Donald fired 4 people I would have thought she'd have tried to send the whole team home.
