I had Poly booked with free dining... but then worried about airfare.. so switched to CSR (king room total $688, all paid off). But my dream for our anniversary is the Poly. So I switched that to an AP rate and will just pay OOP for food... we have done budget dining before and can do it again. Its worth it since I sooo want the Poly!

Then I had 11 days of free dining at 2 rooms at ASMo.. but I would SOOO love to give my kids a treat and stay at a deluxe. My DVC night fell through from my friend, after booking his daughters honeymoon, he was short pts. So I switched to 9n free dining and 2 n at the CR. The last 2 days I had no plans for parks so we will get to enjoy the resort! For $60 more, I might upgrade to Poly for them too. Not sure if they will like the Poly or CR pool better!

Ah yes, I know what you mean. Now that I am able to access the rates, I am in resort switcheroo mode. I had late Aug booked for free dining at ASSp but decided early Aug is better for us and most likely all the TS are booked by now, thus taking the fun out of it a bit for me, so I cancelled the free dining trip (ouch, yes, that hurts. It's easier to cancel free dining on a full stomach).

Then when I thought AP rates would never come out, I had a rack rate at POP for early Aug. AP rates came out, so I cancelled POP and booked BW. I was excited about BW, but I originally wanted BC, YC, CR, AKL, CSR, or POFQ for my dates and NONE are available. Not sure if I want to spend so much on BW when the night life might be lost on DGS (age 8) and I. Also DGS just informed me MK is the most important park in the world, making me think an Epcot resort would better suit him next year or after.

I thought about booking POLY for 4n and All Stars for 2n, but I vowed I would try to avoid split stays no matter what, so I might cancel BW and book a mod. . but I will keep watching for openings elsewhere probably up until we leave. ;)

I thought I would NEVER do a split stay either! But I cant afford the cost of a full deluxe stay... plus, I really cant give up free dining for 9 nights either! Well... I could... i thought about giving it up and doing POR for those 9 nights, (a savings of $1400) and we can just do CS meals and eat whenever we want.. maybe do a couple of TS. I figure I could get the DDE card with my AP too! But I need to talk to hubby. But POR is still open for my dates with the AP discount!

Hi, If you have 9-11 nights, I think a split stay is fine. I have 6-7 nights, so didn't want to split that. Have fun!
