According to the New Jersey Education Association website, the 2003 convention is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 6 and Friday, Nov. 7. Haven't seen anything about the 2003 Soap weekend yet.

What a lot of schools here in south Jersey have done is pretty much give kids off the entire week. They schedule parent/teachers conference's the first few days or in-service one day then the end of the week is the teachers convention. They line this up so the kids are usually out from Tuesday until the following Tuesday, Monday being Veterans Day. In 2002, the dates were Nov. 5 - 11, school returning on Tuesday Nov. 12. Many of my neighbors were at DW the entire week.
