I'm angry because my beautiful daughter's mental condition makes daily life a struggle for her.

That's a shame. Went through that with my son, but he's much better now. Just took time. Hang in there.

Im angry as hell at my DW or doin 80mph and getting pulled over and ticketed for speeding just 10 minutes before pulling into the fort....and the wonderfully friendly officer also ticketed me for not wearing a seat belt!!!I KNEW I should have never let the chick do the drivin!!!

Ya know....I was just sittin there tryin to figure out those darn YAHOO DRIVING DIRECTIONS, and BAM....::cop:"Is there a legal reason you're not wearing a seatbelt, sir?" A legal reason? what the..?I tried the "It wont fit, Im too fat" thing, but she didnt even crack a smile

And while Im on it.....what is the deal with Yahoo and MapQuest directions?????? Do they use incorrect road names just to mess you up??? I mean...it may actually be named BACKSTAGE ROAD or something, but all the signs will say something to the effect of HWY 535......hows anyone whos not fromm there supposed to know that 535 and World Drive might be the same road???? I really need to invest in a good gps navigator.

Well, I'm not exactly angry. Distraught, maybe. I'm following Dreambound (I think it was) who was leaving for WDW with sick kiddos. We leave home on Fiday and DH and DD11 are sick, sick, sick!!! My younger DDs get sick, I get sick, DD11 and DH NEVER do! Now, they haven't been up in 3 days! I checked on DD this morning, her face was scarlet red. I took her temp and it was 104!!!!! I took her to the doc and we are awaiting test results. Uhggg! I think they will be over it by the time we get there~I just hope no one else gets it!

Make sure you take plenty of Motrin or something to help with pain. We were on our way to Durhamtown in GA last month and DD all of a sudden starts holding her ear and crying. Ended up calling the ex and having her come get her. 2 hours later I'm in Savannah getting a call to come back because she feels better. Sorry, didn't happen but I learned to listen to her when she says I don't feel good.

Motrin is a lovely thing. Right now I have her sleeping in our den on the pull out sofa so I can be right with her. She took Nyquil an hour ago and still has a temp of 103. I'm thinking I may need to get her up and put her in a luke warm bath or something. I'm guessing it is just the flu, probably no big deal, but you worry when you're a parent. I may be on this board a lot tonight, trying to occupy my time as I keep an eye on her....

GPS isn't always the answer, either. They will frequently take you the wrong way on one way streets, have you exit a highway only to reenter right away because the shortest distance involves taking the exit ramp, and may steer you down non existant streets because of construction or, in a recent case with me, the road was never finished but TomTom thought it was. I do use them frequently, however, and despite the shortfalls, find them very useful. I have a Garmin and a Tom Tom. Both are good, especially when looking for a particular address. The most useful feature on my trips to WDW - the trip computer which tells me my ETA for FW.

Gotta watch NSAIDs and flu like symptoms on kids - Reyes Syndrome and that sort of thing.
