~ The Amazing Race ~ Season 16 ~

hahaha we laughed at the ??? too. And the brothers were funny too, "the enemy is behind us" :)

I think from a game play point of view they U-turned the wrong team. Joe's knee was a big handicap and I think you U-turn the strongest team left in the race. I really like the Cowboys still but if I were ahead they are who I would U-turn because I think they are the next strongest team.

The cops ran two really good legs in a row and while they aren't my favorite they also haven't done anything to make me dislike them. I am hoping the 3 final teams are the cops, the father daughter, and the cowboys.

I love how the short haired one out of Carol and Brandy complained that this isn't what she signed up for...really, don't you sign up to do whatever they have you do? Apparently they live in a fantasy world where the AR is about going from town to town getting massages and manicures.

I like Steve an Allie the most. He seems like a really cool guy and he has the brains and the brawn to make it into the final three. Brent and Catie have neither of those but I like them as the underdog.

Aside from Team Steve and Allie and Team Brent and Catie, all the other teams annoy the bleep out of me. Well, I don't mind the detectives either.

I haven't decided who I like less, Carol and Brandy or the cowboys. The girls I want to yell at them through the TV to shut up and stop complaining about everything. "This isn't what I signed up for," one of them said. Huh? Are you kidding? You didn't think you might get dirty? And the cowboys, I cannot stand their voices, I want to stick my fingers in my ears and go "la la la la la."

I wasn't a huge fan of Joe and Heidi but I think that's a really crappy way to go. And I agree with PPs, I wouldn't have used it on them. I would have tried to take out other closer teams, especially as it seemed as if Joe's leg was only getting worse.

Not sorry Joe and Heidi left, she was OK but Joe was arrogant and obnoxious, he was making comments and the cops heard them, there you go, "everything you say can be use against you".
I hope the Carol and Brandy go next :worship: they're so annoying.

Jeff is right to get frustrated with Jordan, she acts like a little girl, complaining about everything, I'm glad they made it and hopefully they get their head in the game. The boo-b comment was funny :lmao:

The brothers are to funny too :rotfl:

I think Heidi was arrogant as well just not in the in-your-face way he was. Her comments about "good people like us", I think, said a lot about her.

The lesbians are super annoying but for the last couple of weeks it has been mostly the dark-haired one. I have loved to see her fail at the Morse code challenge.

Jeff and Jordan need to ask for directions and the cowboys are hilarious. They are one of my favourites at this point.

My favorite part last night was when Dan and Jordan were crawling through the barbed wire, and the one in front (not sure which one it was) called over to one of the snipers and asked "How you doing, you Ok there?" Then he said he was just checking on his fellow soldiers. :lmao: His brother was laughing so hard he could hardly crawl. He was telling him he needed to shut up.

That must have been a really fun challenge for the guys anyway.

I don't think Jeff and Jordan will last much longer, He doesn't seem to be any brighter than she is. OMG, how many times are they going to be utterly clueless? It didn't seem like any of the other teams had a hard time figuring out the clue was inside the bagette.

Yes, that was their reasoning. They lucked out because that Morse Code challenge was so difficult.

The Morse code challenge was PAINFUL:headache:

I thought that Jeff and Jordans extra task to do because of their loss in the non-elimination round would be the morse code task. I said to my husband, they are done because if Joe and Heidi can't do it, there is now way that Jeff and Jordan are going to be able to.

In the past, didn't the team that had to complete an extra task have to do both of the tasks offered vs. a whole different task completely?

If so, it is almost like the AR is doing everything they can to keep Jeff and Jordan in the game for viewers ratings.

Brandy is nothing but a whiny witch!! I know Carol had a hissy at the one detour, but I know I would only be able to put up with so much bemoaning before I had a hissy. "This isn't what I signed up for", whatever!!

Someone stated it earlier and I have to agree, I think the cops U-Turned the wrong team. The cowboys, in their normal laid back approach, sailed thru these challenges. While Joe and Heidi were a strong team, Joe was having a heck of a time walking, let alone running. If they had gotten to it, I think the 4 mile bike ride would have taken a toll on his knee. As much as I like the Cowboys, they would have been the smart ones to take out.

No the extra task has nothing to do with the two choices on the detour. That is what the U-turn is.

That wouldn't have worked on this leg because of the U-Turn. If a team had chosen to use it on them, they would have already known the phrase.

I thought that the show was rather boring. There was only one challenge to do instead of two.

Every one I have seen, it has always been something different. Last season Matt and Gary, had to do the moble sauna. Don't remember if it was last season or not, someone had to wash a customers hair at a local salon - it was actually outside on the sidewalk.

Some times it's right there close to the clue box, other times they have to travel a bit.

No, I remember because last season the extra task was going to a bar and having a drink and it only took the team a few minutes - I remember thinking it was a very easy task.

I really liked Jeff and Jordan on BB but I am not really fans of them on TAR sadly. Jordan's heart just isn't in the game - it's almost like she wanted to be eliminated last night. :confused3

I think you are confusing the speed bump and the u turn.

Jeff and Jordan had the speed bump. That is an extra task that no other team has to do, ie building the wall.

Joe and Heidi had to do the Uturn which is where you have to go back and do the other side of the detour (ie crawling and then having to go back to do the morse code).

I think the cowboys and steve and allie are flying so far under the radar that the other teams don't even realize they are a threat, hence why they weren't even considered to be uturned.

I guess they spent so much money staging the war that they didn't enough left over to do a road block ;)

I thought last nights' episode was interesting due to the contestants all being bussed from one locale to another (at the very beginning). That seemed unusual. Why didn't they start racing from where they left off last week?

My guess is that TAR wanted to throw a curve in the race by bussing the contestants to an unknown place. I think in the next week or two they will end up in India-this is Phil's favorite place to go-that is why they usually end up there sometime during the race. That said, they didn't go there last year.

Yeah, I agree. I am sure there are also logistical reasons to do it but I also agree they do it to introduce a factor of unknown. It also is a good way to get the racers together to hopefully cause some tensions/drama (ie what happened with Joe and Heidi and the detectives). I know they have done it in the past too.

So very glad Joe and Heidi are gone. Karma came and bit him in the butt, for allowing the line cutting at the airport a few episodes ago, and for running his big mouth on the bus.

Loved Jeff's comment to Jordan about dragging her chest on the ground. :rotfl: And I'm glad they're still in it, although I think I'm cheering more for the father/daughter (Steve and Allie?) team, and the cowboys of course. The cops are good too. I'm so sick of the lesbian women and the one complaining and saying "I didn't sign up for this" all the time. Has she never seen the show before? There are a lot of challenges where you are bound to get dirty! Good grief! Go home already. And the gay/straight brothers too. Go home.
