Oh wow! The rumors are that they win and now I certainly hope so! What a wonderful husband!! And she does look great with her head shaved. Not everyone can carry that off, but she can. :) Go U and J!!

After shaving her head I hope they win this thing too! She did look great.

Gretchen gets on my nerves worse than Kelly but not by much -- her POW comment was stupid regardless of the context. I'm also glad to know I wasn't the only one scraming at Grechen to get out of the elephant. Oy. :confused3

Never was a Romber fan but they have definately grown on me. He cracks me up. I wish them well in their new life together.

I am SO GLAD the gay guys are finally GONE!!! I was keeping my fingers crossed that this was NOT a "non-elimination round" and they would stay in. Now Lynn can get back to his face creams and lotions, since he was missing them so much. :p

I had been rooting for Ron and Kelly, but Kelly is really getting on my nerves, and with her comment about Ron not making commitments....that was horrible of her. I don't want them to win now. I'm hoping Uchena and Joyce win. I couldn't believe she actually went through with letting them shave her head. I don't think I could have done that.

Gretchen's voice kind of gets on my nerves but I'm happy they are still in the race. It's nice to see an older couple "hanging in there" with the rest.

I really hope Joyce/Uchenna win, but they do have problems with reading maps and finding their destinations. That might be their downfall.

Isn't there 2 more no-elimination rounds yet! There will probably be one non-elimination next week, then the following week an elimination, and the last episode will probably be 2 hours, with the 1st hour being non-elimination and 3 teams going for the million.

I was upset too the Joyce/Uchenna did not win a trip, but remember the first season, they only gave away 1 trip the whole season. When the next seasons started it was like all airlines wanted to jump on the bandwagon and trips were given out each season. Maybe the sponsors are just backing down a bit with the free vacations.

I loved last night’s episode! I just kept laughing at Gretchen’s annoying screaming and whining. Her voice is so annoying that I actually found it to be funny. It was incredible how she stayed up in the elephant even after she realized she could push instead of ride.

I also thought Rob was a bit too forceful making people help push the elephant. I also noticed that Sanjay turned out not to be tons of help, which is surprising for an episode in a country with confusing roads and tons of people blocking them.

I agree with y’all that Joyce looks great bald—I think she looks much younger this way than she did with her hair. I also thought Uchenna was so sweet to her during the whole thing. Kudos to Joyce for doing that!

I was shocked that Gretchen and Meredith still haven’t been eliminated. They really are lucky, because I haven’t seen much skill so far in the race. I was hoping they would be eliminated, but I’m perfectly fine with Lynn and Alex being gone.

I can’t even believe the comment Kelly makes next week! Is she SERIOUS?!?!?!?! That girl needs a heavy does of reality. I like Ron, but I can definitely do without her. I did enjoy the part where Ron was cracking up that Kelly was so good at riding the camel. She looked like she was having the time of her life, LOL! :teeth:

I was waiting for him to snap last night and yell "GRETCHEN, get you %$@*# out of the *#$&@ Elephant and help us push it!" :rotfl2: Nothing like taking a 600 pound elephant and adding a 140 pounds of screaming Gretchen to it to make a challenge easier..lol Did you notice that she tried to grab on to the back of L&A's elephant? What, was she hoping they wouldn't notice another 740 pounds dragging along behind?? LOL And when she was yelling during the camel races I'm not sure but when Meridith's camel bowed down in the front, I'm pretty sure he covered his ears with his hooves. :confused3 :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Her voice is getting more grating each week, I think you are right about the camel covering it's ears. I was so afraid when Gretchen grabbed the other elephant as it went by that she was going to take a header off the side, she hasn't been the most graceful during the race so I really cringed as she did that.

I will also wait to decide how I feel about Kelly's comment until next week, because my DH and I tend to have a sarcastic/dry humor about most things and totally understand each other while others just don't get us sometimes :confused3 It could be a private joke between them, we will be able to tell next week by his reaction... if it was done in a mean way then that will be a low blow. I still just do not see these two as a couple.

Glad to see Lynn/Alex go. They had a lot of fun moments, but they also had a lot of negative/whiny moments so I won't miss them.

Rob and Amber, I do have to say that I have enjoyed watching them more since the clips episode. They showed a little more of his joking side, so that helped. I loved the comments about the windshield wipers in the wrong place and how everyone kept putting them on to change lanes. We did a quick road trip a week ago and whenever my DH changed lanes he would put the wipers on first, DD didn't get it and kept asking him why he was doing that. :rotfl:

That said, I did not like the way Rob grabbed the arms of children and told them to help push. Good thing it wasn't my daughter, he might have had a tough time trying to push the elephant the rest of the way ;)

Lastly, Uchenna and Joyce... they continue to be my favorites. I really hope they pull it off and make it across the finish line first! I guessed she would have no choice other than to go along and shave her head because there was no way they could catch up if she didn't. I was surprised though at how fast she did it, I would have needed a bit more time to convince myself. I also could tell almost right away that shaving her head wasn't going to a be a bad thing, she looked great! Not everyone could pull off that look. It must have been especially hard knowing that Uchenna didn't have to do it because his already was, although I think he would have if he needed to. I was disappointed they didn't win something for being 1st and really want to see the times next week to see if doing the FF really gave them an advantage or not. It didn't look like they had a big lead at all.

He was GRABBING & FORCING those people to help!! I did not see any other team grabbing people by their arm & saying help me push this thing. He was not asking, he was demanding.
I really do not see what the appeal is about him. He really makes me sick! (Attention Rob: Cockiness is NOT attractive!!!!!)
The day they get elminated I will be doing the happy dance :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

thank you.

I never saw any other team GRAB people and push them towards their elephant.

and i believe one person he grabbed was a child.

First of all. Did everyone else want to come through the TV and slap the crud out of Kelly for her horrible comment? AH! I almost lost it. I have disliked her from the beginning, and now, AHHHHHHHH! I would love to see him put her in her place. She is always complaining and talking about how mean he is and blah blah blah. She is a witch. I hope they didn't stay together. :sad2:

Secondly...I have not really cared for the "boyfriends"...but I have enjoyed watching them act so stupid at times. I wanted to see Gretchen and Meredith go. I can't STAND her. "Push, Push, Push, Push" AHHHHH! Get your lazy self down and HELP!

Also, did you notice how Kelly tried to steal Rob and Ambers helper man? AH! I can't stand her!

:flower:

Rob didnt say it was hard to control Indian labor, he said it was hard to organize Indian labor. I took it as a union joke ( since he worked construction, he was probably in a union at one time). I thought it was a pretty funny comment.

I thought it was sweet how helpful all the people of India were to the teams, I doubt any people in America would offer their help for free :)

I was surprised to see Alex and Lynn go. I thought they were pretty amusing. I loved Lynn's comment while running up the steps of one of the stone buildings "It's like Cinderella's castle!"

Gretchen has got to tone down her whining. I am really surprised they are still in it. I thought Meredith was going to have a heart attack pushing that elephant!

I hand it to Joyce for shaving her head. Her husband was right-she does have a beautiful head. I thought she looked great! He was very supportive of her. (I would have loved to see Ray and Deena doing that fast forward-I bet he wouldnt have been very sympathetic!!)

Rob and Amber are still my favorites though!!

I don't fault Gretchen for being on the elephant. The reason I think she shouldn't be in the race anymore is that she got on the elephant in the first place. Someone said "go up" so up she went. Then she couldn't figure out how to get down. She panics under pressure.

I was praying that Kelly and Ron would take the fast forward and see that drama queen be faced with shaving her head. You know she wouldn't have and would blame Ron for screwing up and MAKING them take the fast forward. Ah, now I know why I have beauty pageants, the contestants.

Yeah - DH & I both gasped at Kelly's comment in the previews for next week! It will be interesting to see what the context is for that comment.

I, too, think that Joyce looks lovely with a bald head. Not all women can pull that off! (I really didn't like her hair before. Hopefully, with a clean slate, she can grow a more flattering style! Although, it probably took a pretty long time to grow her hair that long.)

DH and I gasped, too! I hope it sounds better in context, but I have a hard time believing it will. BTW - no one has to get out of the military after they've been a POW.

As for Joyce, I think she looked GREAT! I bet a lot of her hair was extensions, so it's not like she lost all the hair she had grown.

Edit: Okay, that doesn't read right! Of course she lost all the hair she had grown! DUH, Christa! I guess what I was trying to say is that her real hair was probably not as long as what her hair was.

Ughhh...Kelly's comment SOOOOOOO ticked me off with last nights preview!!! :headache: I thought, "how could she say such a mean thing?" Then my dh said she probably had an idiotic beauty queen moment and mistaken "POW" for "AWOL". Duhhhhhhhhh Kelly!!! :rolleyes1

Okay, my thoughts:

Ron/Kelly -- I'm just not fond of them. I think Kelly is really disrespectful toward Ron, and Ron is just indifferent toward her. I don't want them to win.

Rob/Amber -- I'm a fan of theirs, but I also wanted to reach through the TV and yank Rob's arm off the way he was doing to those kids. No, that wasn't right. Nor was the way he "recruited" Sanjay to help them. I have noticed he hasn't been *as* respectful to the "natives" in India as he was in other countries. Despite all of that, I'd like to see them come in either first or second. First because they *are* playing the game the best: very few real mistakes, best strategy, reading the clues. Second because of his attitude the past couple of weeks.

U/J: Wow. Joyce really impressed me tonight the way she went through with the shaving. GOOD FOR HER! Go Joyce, and I agree, she looked great. I sure don't think I could look that good with no hair! And Uchenna... what a supportive husband! I already had a lot of respect for them, and this episode jumped them even higher in my opinion. I'm now pulling for them to win or come in second. Win, because of their constant respect toward each other and the natives, second because of all the mistakes they've made.

G/M: Am I the only one who remembers Gretchen telling Meredith that she thought she should/could get down and *he* either ignored her or told her to stay where she was? She wanted to get down and help push, but no one would help her down. That's not her fault in my opinion. I agree, she does panic under pressure. Personally, I'd like to see them come in third. :)

I am soooo looking forward to next weeks show. It's got to be a non-elimination round. Unless one of the other teams screws up really BAD, then G&M are bound to come in last. I can just see the look on her "whinny" face when Phil strips them of their money and her "fancy" new backpack AGAIN! :rotfl2:

Am I mean?! If so I apologise. ;)

No you are not mean or if you are so am I. i would love to see a non elim round and have M/G come in last and have to travel around again with NOTHING. The downside to that is that we would have to hear her horrible voice for another 2 weeks not just 1. Please let her go already for OUR sanity.

Or with just her yellow shopping bag...LOL

I'm soooooo happy the boys are gone, but I really think G/M should have gone first, then the boys. They are both annoying. I love Romber but would be totally fine if U/J won. So far, the team I've wanted to win, never has. Now, I'll be happy with either Romber or U/J. I didn't care if R/K won, until that comment. That was absolutely appalling and he needs to dump her in a heartbeat! I cannot believe she would even think something like that, let alone, say it. I can't decide if she's just completely an idiot or if she really thinks he got captured to get out of his commitment. How absurd!

I too, have to agree with many of you about Kelly & her comment in the previews for next week. Our jaws dropped & I actually said to my Dh..."she didn;t actually say that...did she?" What a witch! Can't stand her.

As for Lynn & Alex...I will miss them. They cracked me up at times. I seriously was cracking up when he said The castle "looked like Cinderella's Castle". LOL :rotfl:

As for Joyce....she is a BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. I think she looks incredible without her hair. Not many women can pull that off...she sure can. And her husband was sooo supportive & felt terrible. YOu can see how much they really love eachother. I hope they WIN! Especially after Joyce shaved her head...they deserve it.

I too, was shocked the Gretchen & Meredith are still in it. I think this will be it for them though this upcoming week.

Newsflash!!

This is may be first but in the Nielson ratings Amazing Race outnumbered The Apprentice.

I'm really surprised that this reality show doesn't do better than Survivor. I personally think that this show is more suspenseful than Survivor anyday.

Gotta love the Amazing Race!!! :cheer2:
