THE AMAZING RACE #19 official thread. No Spoilers!! Premieres Sept. 25

I think part of the reason they used the express pass is they couldn't figure the canoe out. Yeah no one was there yet but if they got half way out and everyone was getting there they wouldn't have the option to use the express pass and leave. So not the smartest use but not the dumbest either.

As for the snowboarders I would have run for it too. It is a race. The snowboarders aren't even really a super strong team in comparison to the others physically. I mean they have won a ton of legs but many of them were because some other team did something stupid. So I definitely don't think the teams are really uneven. (If you want to see a race like that see if you can find the first season of expedition impossible where the same team won all but one leg of the race... and only lost that one because of a twisted ankle during the foot race.)

I thought Marcus looked like a big kid, cheering on their rabbit. For once it was a detour involving animals that looked easier than the other option.

Glad these two rebounded from the flight oppsie.

I really don't want Cindy and Ernie to win. There is just something about her, that rubs the wrong way.

And I still think, that on the double U-turns, that if you get u-turned, you shouldn't be able to play the 2nd one, until you have gone and completed the 2nd option.

I really loved it when Marcus kissed the bunny and told it I Love You
They are becoming one of my favorite couples
Cindy and Ernie yuck

I ready for Cindy and Ernie to go home.

Ernie seems nice enough, but Cindy just rubs me the wrong way.

Marcus had me laughing very hard watching him jump up down as their bunny ran through the course. :rotfl:

The dancing looked pretty hard...to me any way...I would have had trouble doing it. :rolleyes1

Now if it were disco..... ;)

The dancing DID look hard! I felt bad for Zach that they ended up going home after all that--he deserves kudos for not giving up.

And we all loved that bunny steeplechase thing. It was just so silly, but so cute, and it was great to see the racers enjoying the bunnies (which were adorable).

I'm glad Marcus and Amani moved up, I really like them. They have a great attitude. I still think the snowboarders could take the whole thing. I don't mind Ernie and Cindy so much, but I was glad they came by this week's win honestly--not by having someone hand it to them. She may be irritating, but they work hard.

Does anyone else think the snowboarders let the older folks (I am so bad with names) have second. It looks like they were there at the same time and we all know in a foot race the snowboarders would have easily won but since there was no prize involved, they let them have second place and of course time wise it won't hurt them in anyway starting the leg next week since they all arrived at the same time.

Yeah, I wondered this too. Although the older couple did get there first and it looked like the mat was right near the parking lot. The boys were still getting their bags out of the trunk from what I remember.

I think there are teams with great attitudes and who treat each other with respect left - with the exception of Ernie & Cindy and the other couple (blonde chick & dark haired guy). Either of those two teams could leave next.

I would be OK if Ernie and Cindy went home next- can't stand her- although he is OK. She just annoys the heck out of me!!:goodvibes

My issue with her--and maybe this is the case with others...

She comes across as very entitled. Like, by golly, they did ALL this training, they are thus entitled to first place and the million.

Now, I understand that they worked very hard. But her attitude is as though she is entitled as opposed to deserving.

Remember that book awhile back about the "Tiger Mothers"? The moms that pushed and pushed their kids so hard to be perfect and competitive and always have the best and do the most?

That's what Cindy reminds me of... she's a "Tiger Racer". Always has to do the best, be first, be the most perfect.

VERY annoying, I would imagine for Ernie as well.

Yep- you are both exactly right- she acts like she is the ONLY one on the race that has trained hard or that deserves it. I don't like her!!! :lmao:

Well, maybe she is the only one who trained hard. Running, biking, canoeing, hauling things and people, memorizing, training rabbits, following instructions (okay, forget that last one ;)...that all comes naturally to all the other contestants :rolleyes1

I don't think they did let them win. I think the older couple was getting their bags out when the snowboarders showed up and as other teams have said before those two can run. If you watch as they get to the mat the snowboarders are running behind just as they show up and you can hear them say something like "You beat us".

I think if the foot race was longer they could have pulled ahead. Not sure if they would have though since it really doesn't matter for 2nd / 3rd.

Where did Cindy get those bruises????

Holy Moly, to be continued...

"to travel is to live" - Hans Christian Anderson

I loved those "boos"! :rotfl: At first I thought it was some sort of "golf-clap" like cheer but then the one team said they got 14 boos.

I wonder if those are bruises on Cindy's legs or some sort of birthmark. My mom has had a large purple triangle on one of her legs since I can remember.

Kudos to all the teams for their grace in wearing those absolutely rediculously tiny suits! :worship:
