The Amazing Over-priced String Thing

My son got one in disney a few years ago -does NOTHING> kids do like it though for whatever reason.. he barley touches it now though. I don't think I paid that much for it either.

My daughter just had to have it too when we were there May 2009. I believe it was $15. It since has broken of course. It's not the sturdiest toy around and the batteries seem to lose their charge fast and even after she would recharge them, it didn't seem like it was a strong enough charge to make the thing work right. It really only worked 100% for maybe 2 or 3 weeks. :thumbsup2

I picked up one last December at Disney for DD -- I seem to remember 14.95, but it might have been 19.95.

I dug out my receipts from last March and couldn't find that one. Then I realized we still have the original box with price tag! It was $15.96 but I got mine from a gift shop, NOT at Fantasmic. I'll bet it costs more there. I don't hink it came with the batteries ready to go. Mine was brought home for my DS 12 who couldn't go to Disney with me and was WAY out of sorts about missing out. He loved it even though he was still sulking....It is still working and I have to admit it's really cool and fun. Worth the $$:)

Oh my gosh - what is the attraction with that thing? :confused3

My son HAD to have one, too, spent his own money on it, then played with it for about two hours total over the course of the next few weeks.

Like a PP, I'm thinking $15 no more than $20....

I am amazed my DD10 did not see this toy, because it is something she would have wanted! lol

We are a twenty something couple with no kids - but we buy gadgets like that at home - especially light/glow sticks and take them with us - one time we took enough for everyone around us - we go a little crazy sometimes - BUT the kids loved them. Not our kids... we don't have any! LOL :lmao:

My son got one a couple of years ago with his souvenir money, and still plays with that thing! Just loves it. I like it when it's in a dark room, looks cool lit up. And it drives the cats crazy, which is always entertaining. :thumbsup2

I got one in one of the shops in Epcot for $15. I don't remember which trip it was but it doesn't work anymore. They didn't play with it that much. It was a cool novelty but I would not buy one again.
