What a lovely couple.. ..errrr I mean "Friends" they make!!

I too am raising a glass or three to the wonderful job Kat and Johnny have done raising this young man, and to Kyle and the amazing year he is having and knowing to thank his Mama for making it all possible!!
I can only hope that Ross turns out so well!!!

Oh Sweetie, she was there, just as she has been at each and every game Kyle has played. I know in my heart that your beloved parents have never been far from you or your family. They always show you and now you have the Picture to prove it.

I am having a good day. I wound up taking a ride to Trader Joes. I have never been there before. It was about 40 minutes away but I loved it!!!

I bought alot of neat stuff and even some beer and wine...the wine that they nick named 2 Buch Chuck...although its not $2 anymore, its $2.99. AND....in honor of our nephew Kyle and his team the Shaw Eagles, I will toast a glass to him...the real name of the wine is Charles Shaw...

I have heard so many great things about Trader Joes but sadly there aren't any near here.

Tonight I made Honey-Molasses Chicken Drumsticks and salad for DH and the boys. I went out with a friend to an Irish pub for dinner, and then we went to a wine tasting fundraiser!

Janice, The weather here is crazy too. I haven't checked the weather for today but it seems like its going to be nice.

Aimee, I really enjoyed Trader Joe's. The one near me is 40 miles away so I don't think I'll go there too often. I hope you get one nearyou someday. I have tried a few things already and they are very good. The $2.99 wine is surpisingly very good. I think I'll make a trip soon for a couple cases.

Tom and I have some stuff to do today so I am making pasta with meatballs (jarred sauce and frozen meatballs) and garlic toast. I will make a salad too.

Good morning all!

Thanks for the kind words, y'all are the best! I spoke with Kyle briefly this morning, what a great night and morning they had....after Prom the school hosted an all night party/breakfast which had a DJ, Sumo Wrestling, Boxing, Sports Challenge, Basketball, Pool, Foosball, Air Hockey, lots of prizes and an All You Can Eat Breakfast. That lasted until 8 AM then they went to one of his friends' homes to get some sleep. Hopefully he'll be home this afternoon.

Starting tomorrow, practice for state will begin!!! We're still working on making arrangements for my Sammie baby, can't leave her home alone.

WFD - The Chicken/Andouille Gumbo I didn't get to make last weekend and potato salad!

ETA: I totally forgot - I told him I posted their pic and he told me "I hope you told them that my hair wasn't cooperating with me" . He tried for over an hour to "spike it up" but it was a bit too long.

Hmmm, I don't think I've been there before. Senior year we skipped the limo and splurged on dinner...we ate at Tony Angelo's Oh it was so good....does anyone(my new orleans ladies) know if he re-opened?

Yesterday morning dh booked us a quick trip for next week!

Liam didn't end up pitching yesterday because the game started nearly an hour late, and he had to leave early to get to Caili's skating show. However, the team did great and won 4-0. Caili's show was cute, although I did question some of the song choices...one of Caili's numbers was "Hot Stuff" and some other young girls skated to "Man, I Feel Like a Woman" ...but she did well and waved to us the whole time she was leaving the ice, which reminded us of two years ago when she was in the skating show for the first time and left the group to come closer to wave and wink at us.

We went to my parents' house today...a little late since we were all so tired from yesterday. We had grilled halibut (despite the miserable weather), pineapple salsa, oven roasted fingerling potatoes, seared spinach and a tomato salad.

Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers for Greg. I heard from him this evening saying that he has made it safely to Kuwait. He still has a couple more stops before he rejoins his team in Iraq.
