Hi everyone!! We are so excited to be going back to AKL in August but this will be our first time in a 1BR villa savannah view at Jambo. Does anyone have a map that shows what floors/locations these rooms are so I can try to make a request? I have no idea where they are in the resort. Thanks so much!!

There are 57 savannah view one bedroom villas at Jambo House. There is another site that has a great tool that would give you the room numbers, and you can also narrow the list down by trail if you prefer.

You could then cross reference the room numbers to one of the maps.

Hmm, that site has me confused. I thought all dedicated 2 bedrooms were pool view. The DVC news room finder shows at least one of them being a parking lot view.

So I thought we had a def. pool view, but it looks like the DVC room finder says we could have a parking lot view.

Anyone know if 2 bedroom standard villas at Jambo are parking lot view?

They will be spread out throughout the 5th floor.

Love this map. This is the best one I have seen yet and it is very helpful to know exactly where a particular room is located. If need be, this will help me request alternatives at check in.

I think you want to go back to your map. There do not appear to be any dedicated 2 bedroom units at Jambo House. There are 14 Lockoff Two Bedroom villas that have a standard view of the pool

5004/5006, 5010/5012, 5024/5026, 5028/5030, 5401/5402, 5405/5406, 5412/5414, 5418/5420, 5426/5428, 5430/5432, 5454/5456, 5458/5460, 5466/5468 and 5470/5472.

We leave one week from today......speaking of, as I type this, in one week exactly, we'll be in the air heading down to AKL.....can't wait.

Pool being closed bothers me, but it's January.....not sure I'd be swimming anyway.......

Anything else big going on the week of the 31st!?

We are club level so they say we'll be treated like royalty....I hope so. I'll stop stressing when we are checked in........my little guys' first plane trip so that will be an adventure.

Tell me this...I've read other threads about the 'isolated-ness' of AKL and the long bus trips........for when we are going, is there any reason to worry about wait times on buses, etc?

The parks should be fairly empty too right?

Birthday dinner the night we get there at a place in Epcot.......man it's going to be so fun!

Dont worry about the pool, it will only be closed until 1/30.

I think AKL busses are still ok. I love it there and never feel isolated, but others seem to get that feeling... I think it's wonderful that you are in a totally different world there and there is so much to explore. I am sure you will enjoy it!

I have wanted to stay at AKL for quite a while now. We were going to stay there in 2007, but changed resorts due to construction noise and general disruption concerns. But, it's going to be a wild holiday for us in 2010 because we are booked at AKL in a SV room!

Yes, that parking garage is on the 1st floor.


The second floor has the lobby, community hall, rooms, and the access to the buses and pool.

Dont worry about the pool, it will only be closed until 1/30.

Unfortunately it turnes out that immediately after I posted this I became aware that the pool refurb has been extended until mid-February! But there was a report that there is a very efficient shuttle going between Jambo and Kidani at the moment, so getting to the Kidani pool should not be a problem!
